Why do you like your friend inspite of his or hers shortcomings?

We all have our differences, I accept my friends as they are the same way that they accept me as I am. Friendship is not about perfection---it is when you find things that are in some ways disappointing---but you get to understand those. We may not like the person's limitation, but we still love the person. I like my friends regardless of their flaws, for the simple reason that they are special parts of my life.

i do not look at the shortcomings of people around me and choose friends. i look at a person from different views, what they do, things they love to do and things they do not do when we already are friends. you cannot really tell what a person is until you get to know that person and once you do and have spent time with the person, you will eventually forget those things that would scare you away if you are just beginning to be friends. these flaws or shortcomings will be erased and replaced by acceptance already.

All have their shortcomings. And one has to learn to see the friends through all such things which are above the likings and dislikings: This is the simple understanding I have to get through friend's shortcomings!

I, too have a share of my own shortcomings. And my friends accept me for what I am - including my shortcomings. So, I do the same. Understanding and acceptance is very important in friendship.
