I heard that the future US president is going to be a leftie. Previous presidents were left-handed and researchers say that left handed people excel more and would become great leaders. I think it is also hereditary. I only know few people who are left handed.

yes, i am left-handed and so are all my sisters and my brother.. but both of our parents are right-handed.. well some say left-handed people are special only if they also develop the right side of their brain.. i watched an episode of "oprah" wherein they discussed this.. (oprah is also left-handed) they conducted a test to check if the left-handed person has developed right-side brain also.. oprah was very happy 'coz she has passed this test... note: i am left-handed but i can also write with my right-hand, but not as good as my left.. :-)

I'm left-handed, and I've responded to a lot of discussions about whether left-handed people are smarter. I think it all depends on the person. I remember in one discussion where I stated that I was in a gifted class while in school. There was 16 people in the class, and 8 of them were left-handed. That's kind of a high ratio of left-handed people in 1 class. But I know a lot of really smart right-handed people. But maybe the misconception comes from the fact that left-handed people are awkward, backwards, and clumsy. The intelligence of a lefty may stick out more because of people's views of us.

Well, they are probably right. Both of the candidates are left-handed. But I don't buy into the thought that being left-handed makes them any better of a leader than a right-handed one. My daughter is left-handed. Only one person in my husband's family besides her is left-handed. Nobody in my family is left-handed.
