Has anyone ever tried Noxzema products?? What has been your experience with them? I really need to find something that will work with my skin! No products ever seem to work for me. I'm always trying new ones, hoping I'll find my gem. No luck so far!
So I have oily/combination skin...I do have quite a lot of blemishes, and I get them everywhere on my face (cheeks, jaw line, forhead, chin--neck and shoulders).
So does anyone know if Noxzema products work? If so, any specific recommendations for them?
Thank you!

I think you need to go to a Doctor and find out what is going on. Trying all kinds of things, you've done that long enough, you could have something serious or a hormone imbalance. If you have Rosacea, it could be a sign of other things. Have you been to a dermatologist? It seems like with everything you've tried, over the counter, if there was something, you would have found it by now.

I don't think I have Rosacea...it isn't that bad! But I have been to a dermatologist before...and even stuff they gave me didn't help. During our last appointment (years ago) he did say they would put me on a birth control pill if whatever he gave me didn't work. But I never went back after that. My mom said she wants me to go back and have them right me a prescription for some...but I don't want them to charge me just to write out a prescription and then I have to go buy pills...

If it's hormones, then you need to go to a gynecologist or at least have the derm. in touch with your gyn. They must do a series of tests to determine what it is or they can mess you up if they give you a pill, so be careful. Rosacea isn't always all that bad, it starts out as almost nothing, but if not treated properly can get bad. Tell whoever you see that you've tried everything and nothing works. You want either samples or 1 week worth or whatever time period is the usual period for it to start working. Tell the Dr. you're tired of throwing money away. I've had pills or topicals work in three days when correct and didn't work or made things worse even after 2 weeks. My Doctors have no problems giving me samples. I get a sample and a prescription. If the sample works, I get the prescription filled. If they don't have any samples (like they gave them all away), then they will give me a small prescription. Or I've gone to the Pharmisist and said, "Look, I only want enough to see if this works" and they will often only part fill and note "we owe ________ x # more pills."
Look at it this way, if they find why you have the skin problem and fix it, it's cheaper than trying product after product, getting no where and probably even making things worse. Another possibility is a naturopathic dr. They have all natural products like teas and skin creams, esp. ones that use applied kinestology or muscle balancing. They can test your muscles with the meds and see if they will help you before you even take them. If you muscles go week or don't change then the meds will harm or do nothing. But if your muscles go strong, then the meds will help you. You can also learn how to do it and so can your friends and family. Then you can use muscle balance testing for best foods and all kinds of stuff for you even what clothing materials could be causing allergies, etc.

I used to use Noxema when I was in school. It was really drying and didn't seem to help my skin much. They may have changed the formula since then.
I'm curious...do you wear make-up? And if so, do you wash your face everyday and at night before bed?
One more to go...If you do wear make-up do you routinely wash your make-up brushes? They can be a breeding ground for bacteria and all the oils from our face stick to them like magnets. If they're not cleaned on a normal basis then each time you use them, you're just brushing all that gunk back onto your face.
One tip I've learned about make-up, specifically about powder application, is to NEVER use to poofy sponge application that comes with them. You should always use a powder brush to apply it. People normally have to reapply powder through out the day and if they continually use the sponge, it's just getting dirtier and dirtier by the oils on your face.
You should always moisturize your skin regardless if it's oily, dry or combo. They have great ones out there for each and every type. One really great one is Yes To Carrots. They've also just introduced Yes To Tomatoes..I believe it's for oily/combo skin. They're both organic and they it's a whole skin care line.

Yes I wash myself before I go to bed, and when I wake up. And sometimes if I ever feel really gross or sweaty during the day I will wash my face once then.
And yes I wear makeup. I use the Bare Minerals. It's suppose to be good for your face, and I like how it looks...sometimes. Sometimes I feel so bad that it doesn't seem to help.
I admit that I am bad about cleaning my makeup brushes...what's the best way to do that?
Thanks for all the tips and info!

Noxema is one of my staples. It does very good at getting rid of oily spots on your face. Since you have combination skin I would only use it on the oily parts instead of the whole face.
What you should do is first wet a rag in water warm as you can stand it on your face, then put the rag on your face and let it sit for a minute or two. Wipe your face and then apply the Noxema to the oily areas of your face only. Let the creme sit on your face for about 2-3 minutes. Wipe it off with water the same temperature as before. Once you get all the cream off, let the water cool and repeat the process as before with the hot rag. The cool water closes the pores again.
After you are finished, put a light face cream on. Noxema takes all the oils away, so you will need a little of it back once you are finished.
