I think that the right to an abortion is one of a woman's rights. I don't think that a woman should have to sacrifice her body to carry something around that she does not want, even if the situation isn't something like a rape or something that happened to begin the pregnancy. Even if its just a mistake, it is a mistake that a woman does not need to carry around with her for 9 months, and then live with the rest of her life. I'm all about woman's choice in this issue.

I believe that every child deserves to live. If a lady is raped it may be very upsetting if she finds out she is pregnant but she could consider adopting her baby. She could even keep the child but if she felt strong enough to do that. I got attacked when I was walking along a lonely beach in the Maldives. There are some horrible people out there it seems.
If I was pregnant and an ultrasound told me that my baby was disabled I would still go ahead with my pregnancy. I have a son with spina bifida and he is a lovely little boy. I was offered an abortion at 36 weeks pregnancy. No way did I want that. If I got raped and had a baby with a rapist as a father I would probably have my baby adopted. However I respect other people's opinions. I don't agree with abortion but many people do and I respect their choice.

i've always been a pro-choice person. what good does it do when you force someone to have something they don't want? yes life is precious and all deserve a chance to live. but who is going to care for the unwanted children. from birth, they are not given the best possible as they are 'unwanted'. many get abandoned on the streets as their mother simply couldn't afford to have them. these children are destined to a long life of suffering which may not be what they want. i know there are people who feel that these children should be born so that they can be given away. i'm not against this school of thought as well. just that i believe a woman should be able to choose if she wants to go through this life threatening process. cheers ;p

i think it is ok if it is done for like rape/incest victims or from people that have health problems that would put either of them into jeopardy.. i do have problems with people that get them multiple times considering they could have prevented all of those times such as using birth control.. 1-2 abortions i can under stand but more than that you cant tell me they didnt know how to prevent ya know?? i will choose to have an abortion if i get pregnant based upon the fact it could kill me to have a baby.. literally.. BUT i am also doing and have done everything to prevent ever getting pregnant so that it never comes to that..

I think it just depends upon the situation. If the woman is carrying a child out of wedlock or rape, the child has still the right and the special opportunity to experience living in this world. The unborn child has no fault at all so he must not suffer. I know the future mother understands that. Who knows that child is a future president or a simple boy with exceptional talents. Meanwhile, if the bearing mother is having an ectopic pregnancy, abortion is an option. This kind of pregnancy causes different complications to the expecting mom like rupture with internal bleeding and infertility.
