Hi Mylotter, i was thinking that how to tell my friend that he has a bad breath. His life style is so bad, he doesnt have any schedule of having food, no time of wakeing/sleeping. I have asked my friend to drink lot of water but the reason i told him that its very good for skin.. The reason for bad breath is poor eating habit and unhealthy stomach, curd and pineapple and drinking lot of water will help to reduce the bad breath. Should i tell him that his life style is effecting his stomach and this is causing bad breATH, or should i ask to check my breath so he can ask me the same question? So how will you tell your friend?

I would just straight up tell him that he has bad breath. Don't beat around the bush that never accomplishes anything. you need to just be forward with him.

Exactly. It would hurt less coming from a friend and then he can deal with it,so that he won't be hurt in the future either.

You should be honest and he will do something about it! I think he knows, now if he does not care then change friends!

Don't hurt your friend, tell your friend your telling him/her because you care for them, be gentle and don't hurt their feelings. If your too scared to tell them , find another good friend of theirs and ask him/her to do it and see what happens so your not in the spotlight.

I think I would just get straight to the point on this one, but would start it with something like 'i hope you wont be offended by this, but..' because I really do hate offending people in any way. But then again I think it would be mean not to tell them, as then people may start talking behind their backs about them, and this would be unplesant for them.

if you're bold enough to tell him to his face he has bad breath then go for it! it's for his sake anyway. but if you're a bit shy, i guess a simple gesture of giving him mouthwash for a gift will give him the idea...;o) cheer up!;o)

I think if they are truly your friend then it should be as simple as " I think you have bad breath" And maybe buy a package of mints and say "take a hint" Good Luck

Ohh.. I have no guts to tell anyone not unless she is really my very close friend! Sometimes, those mentioned are not the only factors, when a person has a denture, there is a great possibility that he/she will have a bad breath no matter how she brush her teeth a lot!So, the safest way I guess if to offer a gum when you are together!
