i've sold some of the very old ones on ebay, even if they are old, some people find them useful. those books that are old but still applies today, i keep them in a very dry place where no bugs or bad weather can harm them.

My sister and I have been big book and magazine collectors. Then we got married and eventually each of us moved to different countries. The rest of the family members did not know what to do with the piles of books and magazines in our bedroom, so before i left the country i organized a garage sale. Half of the piles were sold (i could not believe a lot of people are still interested with back issues and old books) and have earned quite an amount. The rest we left it on display at a friend's shop. I kept a few of my favorite books, and even though i sometimes long to see our old library, i always keep in mind that there are things that we should let go of. Besides, there are still stocks of new books and magazines in stores waiting for us to get a hold of them. Then, it's time to collect again.

Its very rare that I would throw a magazine away,I have them given to me,or I buy them in the thrift shops or the car bots sales, and then I pass them on to someone else.its a shame to throw them away, there are always people that would be grateful for being given them.Or if all else failed and you didnt have anyone to give them too them you could give them to the local doctors surgery, and help to make good reading for the waiting patients.

I have a lot of books and magazine in my house because me and my mum are such a big bookworm. That's why we also have lots of old and unused books and magazines. What i will do to these stuff is i will firstly ask if any association need some books for donation. For those they don't want, i will bring it to the recycle center to recycle it. Sometime i even will make some DIY craft from it. LOVE THE EARTH =)

Do you have a recycling scheme in your area? If so, that would be my personal choice of how to deal with them

check out the website www.bookmooch.com There are people from every country on it. You post up the books that you want to send to other people and you get points for doing that. You pay for the postage when someone asks for one of your books. You get points for sending. Then when you want a book the other person pays the postage and they get points. You ask for new books with points. It is a great site.

I keep books that I treasure in my book case but at the moment it looks quite full. I might do some more clutter clearing soon then I can give some books to charity shops. I put old magazines into my recycling box and these are taken away for the council twice a month. I have a leaflet and a magazine box for treasured things like that. I tear out pages that I find interesting from magazines and put these in a folder in plastic sleeves.

I still keep some of my old books and magazines. When I was still schooling, I even use them for my projects. I cut some of the pictures and make them a collage. But mostly, I give my old books to my cousins and friends who mostly need them at the moment.

It's a good idea to make the collage as well as sharing your old or unused books to your friends or family members who need them. Thanks for sharing.

If there's a used book store in your town try selling them. Donate the books to the local library. If there's a local traveling library they usually greatly appreciate used books. Take your magazines to your Doctor's office. The variety of magazines in many Dr. offices are very limited and I'm sure patients would appreciate them. There are online book stores where you can sell or trade your used books. Amazon, half price books, and e bay all have book sections where you can sell used books.

I suggest you to give those old books to your friends who are fans of reading. They might still haven't read those books. Or donate them to a library or charity. That way, you can help them increase their books for other people to read. ^_^ That's all.

The magazines I usually recycle, unless there is something special in them I want to keep. For those I have a box. As for books, most of them I keep, but I don't have a ton. The ones I don't, there is a local bookstore where you can trade in two or three used books of yours to get a used book from there for free. I think this is a great thing, and take advantage of it when I can. Especially since I have quite a few books I'll never read again, and get to save cash by doing this.

have a book on sale at a very very low price. You'll never know someone needs it, you can create extra income for that too. Or donate it to charitable institutions for some of them well be needed.
