If Today is Payday, What's your 1st Priority?

Me, I need to go for grocery for our daily consumption. Next would be my bills, I don't want to pay for the penalty for not paying my dues on time. Third is to treat my family for a pizza or pasta. And if I have enough money left, that would be the time to buy something for myself. But often times, I saved it for rainy days.

Many years ago, I lived from paycheck to paycheck, back then I guess my priority was to pay my rent and bills. For me that was a not a good way to live and I wanted more than to live to pay bills. I started planning how I could live better financially so that every minor thing was a disaster. I stuck to my savings plan and financial growth and as a result payday is just another day.

I'd love to be able to put something aside for a rainy day. I was injured, had 7 back surgeries and am now on disability. Every penny of my income and child support go to food, rent, and bills. I have not been able to participate in any school fund raisers and I have school pictures to buy, which will have to double as Christmans presents. As a matter of fact, I have been debating about turning off either the internet or the cable to have money for Christmans presents for my daughter. I make "too much" for food stamps, which I would gladly accept if I could. When there is nothing left, there is nothing to save.

Gas, groceries, bills and rent. In fact, payday is still a week away, I have about $40 left until then. I have 6 gallons of gas in my car and my daughter wants to attend a Halloween party at her school which costs $10. When I get the child support check, I always treat her to a toy or top that she's had her eye on. The rest goes to living expenses.

Food and rent, and that about covers my necessities, as I don't have car payments or anything else to make right now. After that I'll take a third of what is left, put it in my savings, a third to my checking account, and the last bit is my entertainment fund. It works out pretty well this way, and definitely think budgeting this way has helped me avoid debt (all I have is my student loans).

Well, I used to buy new shirt, groceries, watch a movie, and treating my family. But since I got married, well, I still do some of them but not all. Buying groceries for daily consumption, but mostly milk and diapers for my baby, paying bills, and saving the rest, if I still have left in my wallet, for the upcoming days.

Well, if today is payday il have to allocate a percent of my salary on my internet bill.I have to pay it since it is already due. Next is to save money for paying my loan balance before its due date. Third is to be spent on my basic necessities. And also save a portion for my transportation allowances. Then if theres still money left il be saving it. =)
