Do you discipline your pet?

To a point I discipline them. It just depends on what they are doing, as to if I will let them get away with it. Usually I can just say no, and they will stop. Or if I just stand up and look at them, they know they are doing something wrong.

I am "ALPHA" in my home, over children, pets... It is my home, and I say what is allowed and what is not. Of course I have discipline, if not, I would not be in control!

Both my husband and myself are very fond of our dog,Rocky a male lab who is 18 months old.One has to discipline them or else you could end up in a big mess.I am very soft I don't know how the dog senses this he never listens to me.But one word from my husband and that settles him.When my husband is not around he brings his bones and sits on the carpet and makes a big mess.I will be doing the cleaning, the moment he hears the car coming even without seeing my husband he will pick up the bone and go put it in his room.His behaviour reminds me of children who sit on the mother's head but are scared of the father.But they are extremely clever.

My cats get away with almost anything except messing on the floor or eating my plants. My house is cat-proofed though, so there isn't much for them to get in trouble with. I don't leave food out on the counters and if a paper is left on the couch or coffee table and they shred it, then it's my fault for leaving it out as far as I'm concerned. I keep my closet shut to prevent them from climbing and they are allowed to sleep on my bed or the couch, whichever they prefer. Eating plants is immediately disciplined with my water misting bottle.

I discipline my cat if I need to allot of the time I don't have to do much to let he know that she is being bad.

In a way cats are like kids. They get into stuff, fight like kids, etc. I do try to dicipline all four cats we have in the house when they fight with each other or do something really silly like rifling in the garbage. Sometimes when you give them the firm no, they will give you that look like you are stupid and I am not listening to you lol.
