Idea For Gifts

Philippines

Greetings everyone. I was wondering, in a few days three of my friends whom are all girls are leaving for Saudi Arabia and won't be back for two years. I'm still thinking of what gifts I could give them since my options will be limited to non religious articles. I was thinking I could give them a book or something they could use for a long time while they are there. What would you suggest I give them?

What about putting together a small booklet of photos? You could include pictures of places the four of you have been, and photos of the each girl in the group. Sometimes when you are far away from a loved one or friend you just want to see their face to help you remember. I hope you think of a good present for your friends. Be sure to update this discussion and let us know what you decided.

Thank you loved1 for replying to my post. Well I did go for the photos and my friend loved it. She was teary eyed when she saw it. It really made me feel it was a good gift. I added a little extra letter that I hid within the frame behind the photos and I suppose she won't notice it there, not for a really long time, but if she does I hope she likes the letter. If you were given a picture frame would you open the back to see if there was a hidden letter?

Its never too late to answer a discussion of mine. :) Well they have not left yet and the days just seem to be passing faster and faster. I also though of getting them a book, but the good books that they may like or may need are too expensive for me, and that is why I chose the photo frame. In line with this what do you think you can give a friend as a token of friendship? One of my friends who will be leaving is very special and dear to me and for everything she has done for me I wanted give something in return. As for my favorite author, I have to say its Sidney Sheldon, but then again I love books so much its hard to choose really. How about you my friend?
