We had a cat named Baby. Because she was like a baby. We named our dogs Bruno and Holly. Bruno was named after the Jacksonville Jaguar's quarterback at the time - Mark Brunell (Bruno - Brunell), Holly was named after the Jaguars kicker - Mike Hollis (Holly - Hollis). I know, that may sound silly but we thought it was cute.
We also had 2 other cats named - BeBe and Booger

naming dogs is fun actually. I have a poodle, her name is MOSHI, taken from japanese term: moshi-moshi, as i understand it means, welcome, or something like that.i chose that name because my Moshi gives us a warm welcome everytime we arrive home through swinging her tail, licking and kissing at you whenever she can reach you...a year after we had adopted her, my Moshi caught us by surprise..a real good surprise..During the christening of my first born son, Amando, my Moshi also gave birth to four little puppies, without us knowing that she has been pregnant! so it was then a double celebration i guess, hehehe. Then we were excited to give names to my four little puppies. I started to call the 2 girl puppies as SWEETIE & HONEY and the male puppies as DARLING & MY LOVE...isn't it cute names right..but look what happen next, my helper called them respectively as : ABU SAYAFF instead of sweetie, MILF (as in the acronyms M I L F)instead of honey, SADAM HUSSEIN instead of darling & BIN LADIN instead of my love..come to think of it...of all names to choose from, who would not get angry then?...but you know, since my helper is the one who personally feeds them and being always around with the puppies, the puppies got her sympathy. the puppies is just one name called away and they came by running then. Now, when i called my puppies their names as ABU SAYAFF, MILF, BIN LADIN AND SADAM HUSSEIN, i always make it a point that no strangers can hear then, i'm afraid they might mis-interpret it then...

well, she like those names because by just the hearing the names itself, strangers and thieves will have doubts of entering the house....well, i guess, she had the point.:)
