My latest collection of stamped pennies

When I go someplace, it's hard for me to pass by one of those penny machines without making a penny. For my most recent trip, I got one at Idywild California, one on Catalina Island, one at the M&M store in Las Vegas, and 4 at the Stratosphere in Las Vegas. When we were in the M&M store we saw something about getting a book to keep them all in, but forgot to check it out. I've got to get one of those and get all my pennies organized!

Wow I think that would be great to have all your pennies organized. I have not seen such a book but I think that is great. I do not collect pennies like that but I think that is a neat collection. Have you ever had people send you pennies from places they have been? I think that would be cool also to get pennies from all over the world. I am assuming they have those machines that do that to their coins.

I can't beleive I totally forgot about getting the book while I was there. I'll have to take a few minutes one day and look it up on the net and buy one so I can get it all nice and neat.
I'm kinda wierd though with what I collect. I only like things from where I've actually been. My kids have gotten me things when they've been somewhere and it just doesn't mean much to me. I like to collect stuff as memories of where I was.

I can understand where you are coming from with it does not mean the same if you where not there. What you can do is take the book and divide it up into different parts. One part is the places you have been and one part put the pennies from places where others have visited and bought you the pennies. Then you can visit the places vicariously through them. heehee.

I did this many years ago with some pennies but haven't done it in years. I guess they are long gone by now because I don't recall where I have them if I still have them. Having a book for them would be a very good idea to keep them in especially if you already have a collection of them.

Quite a bit of mine are probably scattered somewhere... I know I have them from the last couple years, but I'd have to look pretty hard for the rest. They're most likely right under my nose!
I do have to get one of those book things though, that makes the most sense!

I always used to get postcards when I traveled. I had not thought of the smashed pennies as vacation memorabilia. Either way, I guess they need to be organized. You probably would like to prevent them from oxidizing as well. To that end, there are little plastic pouches for adding stuff to scrapbooks, and that would be a thought for now, until you get your book or whatever to organize them. Neat idea.

I have plenty more of them - all over the place. It's going to be a chore just finding all the old ones. Most of them are in my jewelery box, but some are scattered around the house. I tell ya, I can't go by one without getting it!
