When you plan to shop for dresses, do you shop for yourself mainly? Or it is that you shop mainly for other family members or your partner?
I mainly shop mostly for my little niece and nephew. Then my parents and very less for myself.
If you see a very nice item, but costly, do you buy it for yourself?

Hi subha, my nephew stayed with us during his childhood for her mom, my husband’s sister was working in an adjacent country. That time he was six years old only when I was married to my husband. I always brought him along when I go for shopping. When passing by the kid department I could see almost all the clothes displayed there were so cute and attractive. My nephew looked so adorable in those fancy clothes so we always went back happily with bag of his new clothes and totally forgot about the dresses I planed to buy earlier

I have to admit to being a bit of a scrooge when it comes to treating myself,im happy enought to buy anything to treat anyone else lol but not for me.I have ample clothes to wear, and lol ive spent a few hours today sorting out my wardrobes and drawers, and I now have a large plie of bags, all filled with clothes that are ready to be taken over to the Salvation army clothes bank.I am very much afraid that dear Mr Ruby will have to make a trip to the local tip too!.Im sure he will be thrilled !!lol, but I seem to achieve the impossible here,a small house and after a few months of what can only be called hoarding ,the drawers are bulging, and everything seems to be overflowing.I am now making a pact with myself,im going to be a minimalist!

I prefer shopping with my better half, if I have to buy anything. When she is around, we get two opinions and in this manner, we can select the best option. I do not go alone for shopping, specially if it is related to clothes.

When I am clothes shopping I mostly shop for myself, I will sometimes get things for my sons that they need and I know they will like. I don't normally buy clothes for other people since it is so hard to know exactly what they like and what size they are, I hate for them to have to return or exchange something on my behalf.

I shop only for my sarees because my son is an adult and he prefers to make his own choice. My husband would not buy himaself anything ;so the question does not arise;Essentials are ok.I will buy for everyone, but whether it be trousers or shirts I prefer to let the males do their own shopping;however I would love to accompany them . Choice would not be mine.On the other hand I make my choice in sarees.

Hi subha,
I shop with my husband, he helps me find a dress...LOL! I love his taste and he is always my adviser! LOL! ANyway, When I am single, I love to be alone, I don't like to think and worry about my company who is bored waiting for me because I love to roam around the place...Now, I am just used to have my hubby with me, even if he hates going around, LOL! He has no choice...LOL! But, we also don't do it often, I wish I could..hahaha..but, we are saving also plus I have enough clothes!

Since I am the only girl in my immediate family, I shop for myself. I do have neices who I shop for on their birthdays and at Christmas time.
I tend to buy something for my son a lot of the time when I'm out shopping for myself too :)

Hello subha. Usually I buy clothes for myself, because I know my own size. But now I love to buy clothes for my son as well because he is my height and it is easier for me to get suitable clothes for him. I have also bought a few for my wife when travelling. It is not because I am not willing to buy clothes for them, but because of the absence of them being together me. The best policy is to always buy clothes when you are together for the sake of getting the right one. Thank you.

Being a male..I need very few dresses , with out any complications....but yes , I always keep shopping for my better half...my life ..my love...and for last two years ..for my daughter as well...Now she is 15 years....
I never purchase costly items for myself...For others..I try to get those clothes , which are not common..not seen on every one...for that , you should be selective...no neet to buy expensive clothes..

Sadly, I absolutely HATE shopping for clothes! I won't try things on in change rooms, so I wait until something's fallen to pieces and then just pick something I hope will fit. My husband is the same, so I pick random things for him as well, as neither of us are remotely interested in what we wear. My daughters are good shoppers - but it's just not for me! Now, when it comes to books, I could spend all day long in a bookshop and spend hundreds - bring it on!
