National Grandparents Day...

Thank you very much my friend,my youngest spent the night last night,she 6 and would not go to bed so do i extra points for having to be up all night.

OMG Howard, that is soooo sweet of you!!! I thought I was the ONLY one who remembered Grandparents Day!!! When my Grandparents were alive, I always made a BIG deal of Grandparents Day. My Grandmother said it was her grand kids who gave her the opportunity to be a Grandmother. I used to hand make my Grandparents a card for this day...now I think you can finally buy them at the store. Both my Grandparents are gone now but I now have a GREAT reason to remember this today...in their honor.

How kind of you Howard and thank you very much. It will be just another ordinary day for me though, one grandson lives out of town and I know they haven't even thought of what today is and my other ones do live just a few blocks away but due to our oldest daughter we do not get to see them.

I don't know there is such a festival. Actually my grandma came to visit us at about 7:30 and it's quite early because today it's Sunday. You know aged people often wake up so early. Fortunately at that time I was awake. If I knew there was such a festival, I would greet her. She is very nice to us. I love China

Wow, I didn't know today was National Grandparents day, probably because we don't celebrate it in the UK, which is strange because Grandparents should have their own day, mothers and fathers do, so why not Grandparents, and besides the commercial industry never misses a chance to cash in and it would be ideal if they introduced it to the UK. but nevertheless I will join you in wishing all Grandparents, worldwide a wonderful happy day courtesy of Wolfie x

Thank you for the nice wish about National Grandparents Day. We weren't able to spend time with our grandkids since they live so far away. They are always on my mind though and do enjoy the time I get to spend with them. They will be here at Thanksgiving so I can celebrate at that time. Actually, I can spoil them.

Hello howard96h, I don't even know that there is a special day for grandparents. We don't celebrate it here. Anyway, I would like to wish all the grandparents especially the ones here in MyLot, a very happy day too

WOW this is awesome. I don't think there's any in Singapore for that matter and it is indeed a wonderful celebration and there should be appreciation for grandparents at all times, including a celebratory day for them.
