My kids want the most popular outfits out there this year. I try to tell them there will be a million of those walking around so why don't we try to find something more original or make a costume but that is not what they want. Do you let your kids choose their costumes or do you make them? I guess I should just let them choose and not worry about it. I remember we had those terrible plastic outfits and masks - yikes! I think it is more fun when you see the kids come up with funny or original costumes or ones that are home-made myself. I give them extra candy!

I really want to be a pilgram for halloween. I want my hubby to be a Native American, My Son to be a Turkey and My daugher to be a cob of corn. My kids are all for it but the Hubby does not want a part. He is a stick in the mud sometimes. I will be making the costumes, unless they want to borrow one from someone. I care more about the budget then if my daughter wants to be Hannah Montana this year.

that is a great family costume! I love the whole corn on the cob. How cute and I hope your husband goes along with it. His costume could be re-used again next year and you could be the village people. have fun!

The village people would be a fun one too! I would be the police man! Thanks for the great idea for next year. I can get working on it as soon as I get this year done. I love being over prepaired.

I found a costume at the disney store on clearance several months ago for under $10 and it was originally around $25. My 1 year old is going to be Lady from Lady and the Tramp this Halloween.

I am not what you would call a seamstress so we buy all of our Halloween costumes. My daughter wants to be a disney princess not sure which one she is going to be yet though Ariel is her favorite but we don't like the costume to it. My son is going to wear his costume from last year which is the guy from Scream.

Our son is going to be a skunk. We bought the costume. We actually bought it right after Halloween last year so we got it very cheap. He picked the costume out and we made sure to buy a big enough size so that it would fit him this year. No big growth spurts so it does.

It's my daughter's first halloween. She'll be attending a superhero party next week so, we'll probably use the same costume to save money. She'll be wonder woman. :-) I found this toddler 1 wonder woman costume on sale and I bought it for her. Problem is, it doesn't come with the red boots, tiara and cuffs. So, I bought her red boots, and made her tiara and cuffs. Halloween is not too much of a big deal here in the Philippines, but some really participate in trick or treat. But most moms I know just buy ready made costumes for their children.

This is my son's second Halloween. He was born last year on 10/30 so he was too little to dress up then. But this year I think he will be Donald Duck. I saw a cute Donald Duck costume online. I am just holding off just in case I see something cuter.
