What suitable topics make a good discussion?

Have you ever wonder what kind of topic makes a good discussion?
We know that a popular discussion is always based on the interesting topic. Frankly speaking, I would think that "money" would be a very interesting topic for everyone.
Young or old, small or tall, all would know what is money. Cash. You need money to buy things(besides trading goods for goods).
I felt that my previous discussion i made was quite good(to me). According to the number of people who replied my discussion. It was about the quantity or quality take helps you earn money in MyLot. It could be quite common but people never get tired of sharing their thoughts about making money.
So what kind of topics do you think makes good disscussion? Why not share it.

any subject will be good for discussion as long as those involved knows something about it, want to learn it or to share it with the other.
money generally tops all discussions, as it brings in a kind of intense feeling while discussing. each one has their on story on money, needs arising out of money, use of money etc.
i have other intersts also like economics, politics, investments, philosophy, relationships, religion, books,friends etc.

I think you meant that if your lucky people might just post into your disscussion?
Sometimes i really feel that luck counts. You see some people give short but sweet comments which it shows that they only browse through your disscussion topics but had not fully understand what i really meant or do they not bothered to type more.

many are here just to type in a line or two, and not for real genuine discussions. for them number of posts a day count more. that is a fact of life.

The most interesting topic here I think is about making money. Like what you said many are interested in money and would like to know how to make extra cash. But other than talking about money, I can't seem to figure out what other topics would be interesting. I think any topic is interesting. Its just a matter of how many would have the same interest as you do. I suggest write what ever you could think of. Maybe based on your experiences. Share something about your likes and dislikes or your job.
Me, I just write whatever comes to my mind. I am an observant so I can get ideas from my sorroundings most of the times. Just one tip though, make your title a bit catchy to attract attention and read your post.

Cool. Even though you got so much post. And you are so experience, your interest for money is still high. lol. It is good to keep up this attitude so you can present to everyone in MyLot about your interest in every disscussion or comment you made.

well it depends on how you deliver the discussion or just simply when it is an interest for a person. but if you want to make a good discussion, try to touch on things that really matter to society, small things that can be an "eye-opener" and things that are overlooked by the najority and i think it would be best if everything should come from you naturally and from the heart. :)

I do not think that topics relating to money make the discussion interesting more attractive and fetch good number responses. I have seen here so many other topics to which you will wonder that more than 400 responses were there. I have also certain discussion which also generated large number of responses but these were not related to money but some thing else. It is no doubt more stress should be on choosing the topic and contents and substance of the discussion.How do you see it please comment and have a nice day.

Now, I think that topic about money should be more suitable for new-comers like me. People who wish to learn more about earning money and making more money than normal with less stress on their work. Like needless to write so much post but at the same time able to get a huge amount of money.
I think i am under those sort of people who ask for that kind of question currently. I think when i get more experience in MyLot and earning money, I wont be asking these questions any more. Instead, i would be replying to others who asked these questions.
By then, I could have done many post in MyLot. So happy posting.

I think all topic can become a good discussion. It just need how you describe the topic and can interest people to reply your discussion. Beside that make a topic that much people know about it. If you haven't any good idea, don't push you mind to think out one idea. Because in here, you mustn't always made a discussion everyday. You can only made a response or add a friends.
I do it very often. Someday I only make a response without any discussion that I started. Have a nice day in here.

I dont think it would be that easy. My mind was struck with an idea last night after i create the other disscussion yesterday. So i dont think i would force my discussion. I would not rack my brain to think of a good discussion for all, but instead wait for the idea to struck my mind.
I followed other people's instruction to write qualitative. Giving many lines in the post that i post. So i would try to post with quality and have fun but meanwhile earning money.

I find that everyone wants to talk about their childhood. I'm not sure why. Even people who had a bad childhood will share their story. I guess it could be that we are so very influenced by what happened to us during those years.

Haha. Cool childhood stories. I had past that age and i dont think i want to talk about childhood anymore. Maybe with my play pals that i used to hang out in the past, i might talk to them about our past.

Who knows! It can be so hit and miss on mylot when creating new discussions and sometimes when you think you have come up with something great you are usually wrong! Then at other times you think a little differently and get an unexpected amount of responses..... I think any topic that people can relate to about life, religion or some well known news is generally a safe bet. I am one for quality rather than quantity myself so although getting mass responses is great, as long as I at least get SOME responses to a discussion I have created then I am generally happy. Welcome to mylot too by the way!

My favorite topic is travel and if I start a discussion in that I might get three responses on the first day or up to twenty responses withing the next couple of weeks. If I start a discussion on a popular topic life life, people, my lot, enjoy life or my lot I might get over fifty people respond to my discussion. Quality counts for a lot and very touchy subjects like abortion might turn into a heated discussion. I know that money is important to lots of members of My Lot. There are thousands of different interests and so the topic of dogs will appeal to a lady that has a spaniel but not everyone on My Lot. News can interest most people though and I know one My Lot member that begins lots of discussions based on news. Good luck on My Lot and I hope that you will really enjoy it.

Oh. You love to talk about travels. I would always like to go to the beach of Australia or something. I find that it was a wonderful ever since i visited Gold coast. I wish to go there an surf as i really like the wave there.
I guessed i am not really the type who wants to talk about travel although i know a bit. I would just like to have fun whereever. But i guessed quality is one main reason that make others post, the other is luck. Luck of you able to allow your post to be viewed by others.
And i guessed i enjoy typing and commenting in Mylot.

I find it useful to take a look at the morning papers or tv news and see what is the 'hot' yopic of the day. Of course, mylot is international and what affects one nation might not affect all, but you are correct in that money, earning it, or lack of it is a universally popular subject.
I also find subjects to do with family or children are always up for debate!
