A Pig is Still a Pig!!

Obama's latest remark. You can put lipstick on a pig," he said to an outbreak of laughter, shouts and raucous applause from his audience, clearly drawing a connection to Palin's joke even if it's not what Obama meant. "It's still a pig. You can wrap an old fish in a piece of paper called change. It's still going to stink after eight years." http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080910/ap_on_el_pr/obama_lipstick Pretty nasty but hey if her lipstick remark is all that can be picked on regarding Palin after a week of deep digging into her life then she must not have any really big skeletons in her closet. I honestly am getting pretty disgusted with both the Republican and Democratic campaign maneuvers. When are we going to hear some actual plans for solving the real issues which affect each and every one of us? So far all I have heard are lofty typical political promises. Can anyone tell me what really sounds like a good achievable plan? Something that will help me...Ms. Middle class living on a fixed income or a normal every day working class family .

Sadly that does not bode well for the future of our country if that is all our two major candidates for the presidency are any good at.

Well, he DOES have a point. Barbie is a joke. She's a liar and a thief - hey she's working for the right party, isn't she? Polish a turd - it's still a turd and it STILL stinks!

I am with you there, both parties need to stop the mud slinging. It is just too much. I am a Democrat, and I love my party, but I do not like their actions at times.

You know that McCain is no angel either. He has been doing just as much or more mud slinging than Obama. I would not say that this is completely one sided.

I was a Democrat until this campaign. I am so disgusted at the nominees. I cannot under any circumstances vote for Obama. I am not crazy about McCain but he seems to be the lesser of two evils.

hi whiteheather39 how about the people out here who have lost their jobs and are trying desparately to get a new one, their rent still must be paid and now a 3 day notice, how are we to survive without his pay check, this is scary and I wonder if either of the candidates gives a flying damn about people like my son and me, my son is our only breadwinner and he is out of work, and still looking, now our rents past due so we get a three dayh notice, this is making me ill, and am wondering if anyone in this world cares about people like us; Iam 82 and handicapped and retired with only a small social security check. I feel so helpless.

That is too sad and unfortunately these are the heartbreaking situations facing many, many families - problems that should be addressed not who said what about whom!

I don't like politics, they talking crap. All the things they talk sometimes they never fulfill it all, before they are selected for the presidential seats in the country. They talk and talk, fight back with talks, just like animals fighting with each other. A zoo i say, that's why the talk they talk never really meant what they will do next, it's just a promise to attract votes and made a strong connections to the public.
