She changed her mind

Last night my 5 year old decided she wanted to wear a dress to school. So I picked one out at bed time. Turns out that even thought he dress was a 6x it was too short. So we took it off and I got her another dress. My daughter twirled around then pouted. " I don't want to wear this dress" Well instead of going through her whole closet I asked what would she like to wear. She said pants. We tried 2 pair and found one she liked. This was all this morning. I couldn't help but think thank goodness she got up 15 minutes early. Has your child ever been picky about clothing? How many outfits have they gone through before finding one that was 'Just Right'?

This reminds me why I should be thankful to have more boys than girls. Ryan is the only one I need to get ready for school right now. I tried getting him to pick his clothes out...you know, I figured he'd want to decide for himself like a big kid. Nope, he wanted no part of it. After several tries he finally sputtered..."Mommy, just pick whatever you want me to wear, I don't care!" Seven days later, I've yet to hear a complaint about my choices.

I am having a son in December. So I will be able to experience both sides of this fashion fence!

My daughter is the same way. She is now 16 years old and she picks her own clothes out to wear. She still changes them a few times before leaving the house alot of times too though.

I'd expect this from a teen. Just caught off guard by the fact she is 5 and it has already started!

My sister is sometimes like that. She picks out her clothes then on some occasions she changes her mind she will go through maybe 2-3 outfits. My mom always get my little sister up atleast 30 minutes before she needs to be so she has extra time in the morning and nothing has to be rushed and it gives time for error.

My son picks out his own clothes in the morning for school and his own clothes for bedtime too. He is not too picky about his clothes, but he did decided that he got to pick out his school clothes this school year. I guess maybe he is getting a little more picky.

that's what you have to deal with when you have a girl. we change our outfits 50 times a day. wait til she's a teenager and has a figure. then she'll be worried about making sure it looks good on her. lol

I don't have a daugther but i have a little sister. She's like your daughter. She started to choose her own clothes or dress to wear. If you insist to her a certain dress, she stumble and throw them and cry coz she likes her choice.
