Can disinfectant infect?

This is an honest question. How much is too much - in bathrooms, kitchen, bedrooms? And which is better between liquid disinfectant (cleansers) and the spray? I always disinfect (Dettol) all the tiled areas of the house and afterwards, i spray using the same brand. My uncle said it is safe, but am not really sure because of the strong smell (though i love the scent it leaves afterwards.)

even i love the smell of dettol.i usually use 5cc of dettol in 100cc of water.i think it is quite harmless and i do not think any organisms can survive because it contains some amount of acid in it.

Disinfecting is fine to do once in a while to get all the bad germs out but all the time can lead to other problems. If you don't allow germs into your body, your body will never know how to fight them off, therefore making you more suseptible to contracting viruses. If the smell of the product is very strong then I suggest using a different brand or wearing a mask while cleaning. Open some windows and let some fresh air into the house while cleaning. Lysol is a really good brand for cleaning and they have it in wipes and spray. I usually use wipes on my desk at work when it gets very dusty and the spray at home around the garbages and on door handles when someone is sick to stop the spread. My whole house gets cleaned regularly once a week but only disinfected once a month. Germs can sometimes be our friends.
