Do You Give Donations?

I don't have enough money to donate but what I do is give money to vagrants. These poor and very often sick people are all over Port of Spain and you can give them a few dollars for which they are always very gratefull. They don't smell or look too good but they don't choose their occupation either.

hi cheve, i always want to donate to organizations like these, but i have not yet joined in work, so at present i don't. but when i start earning i would make it a point to donate an amount to such organizations. my dad donates money to an organization for orphans. thanks for sharing. happy mylotting!

Yes, I donate to JDRF or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and I donate to the American Red Cross. I will donate to other charities as well, but JDRF and American Red Cross are the two major ones that I donate to.

I myself go to an orphanage every year. I take food for all the children there and spend the whole day with them. I have my meal also with them because very rarely they get outsiders sharing their meal. I dont believe in giving donations in cash to any organization.

ive given to all of them when i had money and many more. i believe it not only makes you happy but it will come back to you when your in need also.

As im yet to join in my job,I have never given any donations.But my parents do that a lot,we donate money for the poor people,for their education purposes and help them when they really needed it.We donate money for our church activities,like for donating a missionary and other development funds.Thank You

[i]HI Chevee, I haven't tried giving donations but I have tried visiting an orphanage with my organization before and we feed the kids, give them gifts and prepare some games for them to play! We had also some projects before to just roam around the city and look for streetchildren in our City and gather them in the park, teach them something, interview their life and feeding them also! I love doing this a lot and good before I had all my friends whom I can contribute, I cannot do it alone hopefully next time again when I will find a job and meet friends who have the same feelings towards those kids![/i]

I know a lot of people say "what about our country's children" and so forth. I feel this way, as long as it's a real charity thing going on, who cares where it goes? I mean, children over seas have feelings too and so why not help them but at the same time, help our country's children too, not just over seas. Yes I do donate when I can which I'll be doing once again now that things are better money wise. I love to donate to animal cruelty cases as well as to feed them. I also collect aluminum cans to give to them as well as other charities. I love to do this for every little bit helps!

I have donated to some charities, but my favorite is St. Judes Childrens Hospital.. I am not sure what percentage of the donations that they receive go specifically to the hospital but I do know the percentage is pretty high.. I use to donate to the policeman's fund and was always getting phone solicitations about this until I read the fine print one day and found out that almost all of the donation went to the company that was doing the solicitations and about 10% of what you donated went to the policeman's fund.. I quit this one really quick.. Now, the only ones that I donate to are the ones that I check out first.. Some of these comapnies are nothing but scams.. I don't advocate not giving, but I do say, check them out first..

No I don't give to any of these charities because I don't think the money goes to these people, so I don't trust the the organizations most of the money goes into their pockets instead of the right people, we hav a local salvation army which I give donation to and I sometimes help out there. Yes. I give donations to organizations that I know. Do believe those organization that they help. If everyone have the thinking that the money never go to the needy, and no one willing to donate, then the needy will suffer. The money that the organization sometimes might not be 100% go to the needy but do not forget that the organization might need some money to run the whole thing. Volunteers also need money to get food in order to participate in the social work.

we can't say that all of the donation goes toward the feeding of children. there are some people who take advantage.

well yes i work for free rice its a website that you go to and when you get a word right you give the hungry children 20 grains of rice

I am sure that if you make a find out in your area, you ll find several organisations working for those in need. Try to find out who are the people behind these organisations, whether they are to be trusted or not. I only give donations to whom I trust.

I do give donation to charity. I think the donation really goes toward them. I only will donate if I am sure that the needed ones get. If I am not sure than I won't give donation. Helping other make me happy. Not all people are lucky in this world. If we can help them, why not we help them. Someday we also will need help. I think, if do good things, then we will get it back in return. If bad to others than we will get payback.

YA most of the donay\tions money go to charities but there is a small percentage that go in the in charge pocket. No one is perfect in this world. And as money is concern there is always some little fraud. Do you always think the people in charge will let the money go to charities?

I do give donation in my community services where i belong, In the church and sometimes the beggars in the street. I feel blessed and happy everytime i see them smile even if i gave only a little amount but with all of my heartin it. in my own little way i can make their day bright.

what I do is personally go to orphanages and oldage homes and give money or clothes, food , to each and every person there or to atleast few of them. I never donate indirectly to charity, because I trust them very little. By the time the actual stuff reaches the exact people it becomes half. I have experienced this many times and I never do that mistake. When I really love to give something I go directly to those people and give them whole heartedly, and by so doing only that I really feel happy.
