How do you get referrals to join your programs?

Referrals are the key to being successful in the PTC industry but getting referrals really does entail a lot of effort and creativity and patience. My most successful referral searching endeavor would be through this free, Filipino-based ad board and community, the same community through which I discovered PTCs in the first place. I find it challenging, though, to think up ways of making my ads more noticeable as well as make my offer more enticing (e.g. offering incentives, bonuses, etc.) But, in the end, everything pays off when you see your referral earnings begin to pile up. I've also had some success with referral exchange sites. I've actually met someone there who offers cash-back incentives on his referrals which I think is really an effective way to encourage referrals to become active clickers. So yes, these are my methods. How about you? What, do you find, is the most effective method of getting referrals?
