I want to let my friends know that it is going to be a really long one.I will not be here. I will do regular work, and then drive a load of clients to the State Fair for a concert. Back late tonight. I will see you tomorrow. It has rained for two days, courtesy of Ike, but the Fair is still on. How are you doing weather wise, and work wise?

Hi, savypat. I am only employed part time. My title is Residential Staff Support. I help adult mentally and physically disabled people have a quality life in their own homes. I am fortunate to work for an agency that has a lot of centralized activities. They pay my way. In fact they try to make sure to go places on the weekends I work because their insurance allows me to drive for them. The curse of having a near perfect driving record. and being "mature" (read old)

We are rainy too and will be for the next 3 days. We have several fronts coming together, making it a mess. We are staying home today, and giving the house a good cleaning.

We have had a few days where heat felt good. Yesterday it ended up warm and muggy. I hope you get a spot of sun soon.

What a shame that you have to go to work today but the State Fair sounds like fun. Hopefully the weather will be kind to you. After weeks of rain and storms here, I woke up this morning to see the sun shining. I had almost forgotten what it looked like so now I am going to take a leisurely stroll through the village and maybe sit for a while on the green. Enjoy the concert.

It was a long day, good for the paycheck. I would like the music better at a distance. I enjoy getting to do things like this with my clients, though.

I hope you have a fun day today, sounds like a busy one. We got really lucky with hurricane Ike. He was headed towards us or so it seemed then he decided to take a turn more northerly. As for work I am a housewife but my husband was home at noon on wednesday, boss paid them so they could buy lumber for windows and or get out of town. He did go in on Thurs. to work but was home yesterday due to the unknown of the hurricane. Sun is shinning bright so we are safe.

Glad you guys are safe. We just got lots of rain here in Kansas because Ike was so darned big. They saw it coming and canceled lots of things including airline flights.

Taking some Clients to the Fair for a concert sounds like Fun. Just hope it does not rain too bad for you to enjoy it. I have been busy working, and trying to get our Condo Sold, and just getting over Bronchitis, etc. so it has been busy for me as well. Well, since I live in the Seattle area we are still supposed to be in the 70s or 80s here and nice. Wishing you the best my friend.

Seattle is a lovely place, but it was rather damp when I visited there. You be careful with that bronchitis. My diabetic client just had a bout with something. Doctor sent her a prescription for a Z pack and she seems a lot better. I come to her house at times though and find her barefooted and in shorts with 50 degree weather.

I am hoping to get to making more money on here, just cause I also have bills and I have dropped from a job and a half to basically a half job. It was killing me to do both.

Workwise, I sit home watching dad. Hahahaha! Stressful though. Weatherwise, typical mid September weather. A little on the cool side and a dribbling of rain right now. Only going to be in the low 60's Sunday. Then into the 80's next week. perfect weather for catching a cold. Like I have right now. What concert? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!

The clients love the country music stars. We saw Jason Michal Christopher, and Joe Nichols. A couple of my clients had some breathing and noise issues, but we did okay. Home late, like midnight last night. Sorry about the cold. Get some horseradish. Even just breathing it is supposed to help. Take good care of your dad. It is work. I know.

Sorry you have a cold, I hate that. take some Vit C and chicken soup, I've heard that helps. If dad can answer questions why not ask him about the past. As a genealogist I always sugest that people ask the older generations as much as they can and write it down. I regret thaht I didn't do a lot more of that and now they are all gone and I'm the older generation. Enjoy.

I hope you have a fun time at the fair. The weather here the last two days was muggy and rainny. Today the sun came out and its back to sunshine. It is 82 outside right now. With my job that I have I dont have to work on weekends, am I glad. Working during the week is enough to make up all the weekends.

Right now I am just working part time, but it is pretty intense sometimes. I am always in jobs that amount to taking care of people.

It is a resting day for us,since we were at the hospital with my son - again - all night yesterday. As usual the doctors couldn't really get a diagnose so they had to stay within appendicitis or gastroenteritis. It must have been the later because the ultrasound showed nothing special where the appendix is. So today we're kind of trying to catch up with lost sleep:) The weather has been mild, no rain. THere is a bigger difference between the temperatures during the day and during the night now. It's supposed to rain until the middle of next week, but it didn't start yet. Have fan at the concert :)

So sorry about your son. Is this a recurring problem? Does he have food allergies of some kind? I like the feel of the air this morning, it is very fall-ish.Most of the clients had a really good time, dancing in the aisles, etc. Not exactly my choice of fun, too close to the speakers. I still have hearing damage today.I staffed my seven clients, and then there were some that were without staff. One reason I often go is because I am approved to drive company vehicles.I end up looking after other clients who do not have staff there.

My son seems to be fine today. It's not exactly a recurrent thing, more like he has been having some bad luck health wise lately grrrr There was a time when the closer to the speakers the better to me, but not anymore either LOL It's looking like fall here too today, although it's still too humid so although it's cool it's also hot/sweatish :) Have a wonderful sunday:)

Today the temperature dropped way down to 85 F in the morning but because it was muggy instead of our usual dry heat, it felt like 110 F. Before long it was up to 103 F and still muggy, so we could not move as fast as usual. Also unusual, there was no wind. We did however go out for breakfast, attend a business meeting, and then shop at 4 or 5 stores on the way home. It was grocery buying day. I hope you all have fun at the fair and a save trip back.

Funny, we got up to 85 and muggy. Sun shining, dry, but heavy air.We were safe and all got home around midnight. I did have two of my personal clients who had a bad reaction to the atmosphere, the vibrations, and the crowds. One had an allergy pill and did better after that. The other, who is new for us, was tearful. I had forgotten that her history says she has had seizures in the past, and I took her to a quieter place out of the lights etc the second time she told me it was hurtful. I was not the one who had approved her going, but I was the one who was responsible for her once we got there. She had never been to a concert, and I doubt she will choose to go again. We have cool, breezy weather this morning. I am still deaf, with ringing ears and a headache. It kind of got to me too.

We had a dry, warm day. Warmer than last year. We had so much rain the previous two days that my roof leaked in places it has never leaked before. Not stormy, just heavy rain.

I know that you enjoy the ice cream truck in the summer, have you thought about getting a CDL and driving a school bus route in the winter. The jobs would really fit together well.

No, I haven't. I really do not like to drive a lot in the Winter. Ice cream season is coming to a end here in Ohio. Carl has been taking care of that. I have been home.

Work-wise, I'm retired/disabled...but weather wise it's been really stormy here up by Lake Erie! They say we're getting the back-lash from the southern storms. Yesterday it rained so hard. I have a huge old maple tree, taller than my 3 story house. The tree dates back to the mid 1800's (I have a picture of the house with the tree from back then) Anyways, there was this huuuuuuge limb that came crashing down on the road during the storm. Only by the grace of God did it not hit a car. It did hit my mailbox and the separate newspaper box/tube. Before it got hit the newspaper tube was on a pole and was chest high, now the pole and tube is 1 foot off the ground (looks like wee people put it there lol) Looks like I'll have to put up a whole new mailbox and stand and that was crushed beyond belief. Sure am glad I got the mail earlier in the morning or I might be flat as a pancake too! How wonderful you're taking the clients to the concert! I'm sure they will all have a great time. Hope you have an easy time of it and have a fun time too.

This year was easier than last, as I got to do more with my own clients. I have a client/friend who has a physical disability that is progressing. Last year I had my clients and then was responsible for her needs as well. I like her, but that is too much work. She had one on one staffing last night, and that was better. My clients are at a level that they are pretty self sufficient. I did have some meds to pass, and I also had clients who ended up with some other health-related issues, but nothing I could not deal with, and I was free to deal with them and comfort them because I was not staffing for my friend. Overall, they took lots of pictures, danced in the aisles, shouted and sang. It was a good evening.
