I have been using the computer for last 4 years and internet for 3 years . I don't know anything of Data base management package such as MS Access . What ever i do , i do in spreadsheet and ms word . That too without deep comprehensive knowledge .
In fact for me the computer and internet is synonymous for me . I seldom do anything in computer except internet .
I type texts in ms word . But when some peculiar problems arise especially in indenting , i just surrender . I cannot do complicated tasks with spreadsheet too .
I wonder if anybody like me is so naive in computer . What about you ? Are confident about your expertise in computer usage ?

I am not an expert in the same wy my husband is (he's an I T manager for a company in Arizona, who will be retiring soon, hoping to start his own I T business up here), but I am an expert in what I need to do with my own computer. I have no problems or lack of confidence when it comes to my computer, at all. I love working with my computer, and I'm good at it!

I work with computer systems for a living, and most of what you are describing is just lack of confidence, or no desire to read.
I do not mean to be condescending or arrogant. I just see this all of the time.
Look for books published by QUE that titles are "Absolute Beginner's Guide to..."
You will find these take you through different tasks step by step and are fun.
