I Miss You

Do you smile when someone you know says: "I miss you."?^_^
A smile is definitely uncontrollable. Whether we like to or not, when we see/feel/hear/think something that makes us smile, we smile without knowing right?
There are other things that make us smile as well but when someone you know, either a friend, significant other, or from someone you least expected, says that to you do you find yourself smiling? or are you one of those few people who literally thinks before they can act?
If not "I miss you.", what are the things people say that makes you smile?
From who do you smile bigger? I mean do you smile from ear to ear when you hear that from your significant other more than when you hear that from someone you least expected?
If you noticed, what are the things you say that makes others smile?
Thanks!^_^

It really depends on the person I know who would be saying that to me.. If it would be said by a friend or a close family member who I have not seen for a long time, I'd probably associate it with an obligatory greeting for being able to see each other again for a long time. I mean, even I would just say that to them after not seeing them for a long time.
If it was someone unexpected, I'd literally get that jolt in my head and think of reasons why would this person say something so unexpected.. I surely didn't miss that person for being unexpected already implies that..
I guess I'll just catch myself smiling when someone who I really do miss tells me that they missed me as well.. even if its just something obligatory for them.. (^_^")

Hope Im making sense.
Your hope was worth your while, you did made sense on that post of yours.
What “obligatory greeting” might that be?
A greeting like hello.
Have you actually said those words out loud to someone you know?
I had said those things out loud before and I actually meant them most of the time I say them to those whom I really do miss after not getting in touch with them for a long time.
...arent there times when you miss someone but you didnt know they miss you too, and so if he/she says that, you wouldnt expect it, and thus would make you smile?

Who might that(those) “someone who you really do miss” be?
When its coming from someone you least expected, and yeah you might not feel the same towards the person but arent there times when you miss someone but you didnt know they miss you too, and so if he/she says that, you wouldnt expect it, and thus would make you smile?
Hope Im making sense.

This is such a beautiful post!
BJ, yes it does bring a sweet smile in my face. Its a great feeling of being loved and of being missed. Missing someone shows how much we care, how much we feel and if it comes from your loved ones it feels great.
I am the kind of person who would always miss her loved ones and my emotion takes over my brains and I go over board missing them. And guess what, I always express that I did missed them. The satisfaction, the expression of fondness shows and It feels happy.
I miss you too, BJ, when you are busy with your studies. But then that's your priority. We will make up for it. And thanks for responding to all my discussions. You are special and I care a lot about you.
Smile, be happy and keep missing your loved ones.

hi bjcyrix!
yeah, those three little words often bring a smile to my face. just last Friday one of my female officemates said those words to me and i couldn't help but smile. she had been absent on Thursday and yet she missed me already. ^__^;; i think its because we're always together at the office even though we are not in the same department. and we've just been close for only a few weeks. some rumors and issues inside the office made us good friends.
i also say these words too to friends and special persons who i don't see often. and whenever i do, it put a smile on their faces.

Hi. I really don't know because I am smiling always. Ofcourse if someone tell something nice to me the smile is more big LOL. But I am smiling always. Can smile is the best thing in life because it means that you have motivations to smile all the time. I have pity for those people that never give a smile. What kind of life they have that never let they smile?
Cheers and have a nice day.

Hi there my sweet friend. Let's see now - i miss you draws a small smile on my face as well. Also "i love you" draws a really nice smile when i hear it from my girlfriend. She also makes me laugh every time she... growls - something like "eeeeergh eeeergh eeeergh" because it sounds like a nice little monster from a movie we had seen recently and we both get a laugh at it :)

Awwe, that is nice.^_^ Most couples have their own "language" so to speak on how or what specific words mean so much more to them especially when articulated through sound effects (like in your case) or that special something that only the two of you share.
Thanks for responding!^_^

I haven't been missed that often or rather been told that I am missed. However most of the time I just smile when I am able to bring a smile or laughter on the face of my loved one, it feel like I have achieved something and gives me a great sense of satisfaction. always keep smiling, keep mylotting.
