New season of CSI ?

Does anybody knows when is the next season of CSI Las vegas? is it true that Grishom will not be in the show anymore ? If that is true, I would be dissapointed, because I watch CSI because of him...I really liked him.

Wow, if that is true it is so disappointing! Without Grissom CSI Las Vegas wouldn't be CSI Las Vegas. We've been accustomed to him being there...being the boss. It's a pity that Sarah resigned and Warrick Brown being shot is so awful. It's impossible for him to survive that type of wound but I'm hoping against hope that he'll still live because they're the numero uno cast.

Your definitely right, for me CSI las vegas is Grissom ! I cant compare him to other CSI leads. He is just awesome !!!

I was very disappointed to hear Grissom is leaving CSI. He was the glue that held the characters together. He was a complex character. While the other characters seem to have deep issues, Grissom just seemed more rounded than the others. Willows is annoying to me. How much more plastic surgery is she going to have? Guess we'll see when she returns this season. I hated her flirtatiousness. But then it wouldn't be tv. I wasn't upset about Sarah leaving. I never liked her as a character, so I was disappointed when she and Grissom got together. I also didn't like Warrick, so no tears were shed when he was shot. Nick seems like a peripheral character, not having much development. I hope they develop his character more this season.

Yes, they plan on having Grissom leave the show sometime in the middle of the season, although there is no specific storyline for it. I remember the news a few months ago talking about replacements and looking for a new lead and there were suggestions or rumors for someone like Lawrence Fishburne, but I don't know for sure if they've made a definite decision about it. They also are bringing back Sara (Gorja Fox) for a arc of episodes, perhaps to close out the Grissom-Sara storyline or facilitate his departure.
I know I cannot wait for the new season; I love CSI, probably one of the few shows on TV that I still try my hardest to watch live instead of simply putting it on a TiVO and watching it later.

you know it would not be CSI las vegas anymore if all the old character will not be there. I hope they will bring Sara back, and let Grissom appear once in a while, otherwise the show will not be the same. Well, lets wait and see hopefully this new season will not soooo dissapointing !

I think - initially - Grissom will be on the show, but they are planning on replacing him as he wants to leave the show.
I believe the fall season starts for them in October, may be the 9th?

CSI will return October 9th. Grissom aka William Petersen leaves in the 10th episode. Laurence Fishburne will be joining the show and first be seen in the 9th episode. This is the 9th season and for me likely the last season I'll be watching, as Grissom is my favorite character. He kept me from turning the channel.
