Do you prepare your fruits & veggies right when you get home from store?

Do you take the time to cut and/or wash your fruits & veggies right when you get home from the store? I know it definitely saves time later but usually when I get home from the grocery store I'm exhausted from shopping, unloading car, and putting everything up. Today we went to the store and I bought a quarter of a watermelon. I actually took the time to cut it up and put it in a container. I was so proud of myself. But there are still carrots & celery to be done and I figure I'll do them when I go to use them. What do you do? Right away or when you use them?

No, I do not get it done. I tend to do it as I go. Sometimes I do not get it done up and I end up wasting food, boy does that make me mad as myself. I have a cantaloupe to cut up now. I am doing better lately than in the past.

Oh my gosh that is so me! I know I need to but usually do it as I go also. And I HATE throwing away food. How bad is this; I know that if I had my carrots & celery cleaned, cut up and in a container that I would grab a couple when I want a snack instead of pretzels or something easier. That's crazy since I'm trying to lose weight. I know it doesn't take long but opening the bag of pretzels is quicker. Go figure. Maybe that will have to be a new goal for me.

I usually put them into the fridge until I'm ready to use them. Once I've used them, if I haven't used it all, then I wrap it up good and put it right near the front of the shelf so it doesn't get buried and forgotten in the fridge.

yes i prepare my veggies when i get home so that it will still look fresh the following day. I put it in a ziplock so that it will still remain fresh when i want to cook it the following days.

See I wish I had that kind of discipline! I know I should but I never feel like doing it. That's why I asked the question, to find out how many people actually take that time. Thank you for responding.
