i am a person who would try to imagine life would be in a year or two years time. i don't really dwell on long range imagination though, how many of us are living the lives that we truly imagine? there are many aspects that make up life: career and work, friends and family, romantic relationships, the lifestyle you lead and the list goes on and on. At times we lose sight of the life that we love and that would make us happy. if any of these aspects fall short of what we imagined, will it bring a big impact into our life? I believe that a key to a happiness is to value the simple things in life those that money can't buy. are you living the life you imagined?

No I am not. closely but not exact. I didn't imagine that I would still be living with my mom and I really wish I wasn't.

hi there, the way i understand you post is that you have a friction with your mom? if you want to leave home, why haven't you? is there anything stopping you to do so? hope you can work it out with your mom so that everyone will be happy. have a great weekend. :)

No, not at all, but its not necessarily a bad thing. I looked back on all the things i wanted for myself when I graduated from high school, and it has changed drastically from what I want now. (I'm 25). I wanted to be married with at least one child. I expected to graduate with a degree in creative writing and have a job working for a magazine or writing for a tv show but I ended up graduating with a degree in behavioral psychology (in 5.5 years instead of the 4 i imagined) and getting interested in animal behavior. I'm not getting ready to start a amaster's program in wildlife ocnservation and working to become a certified vet tech. Not at all what I imagined. Oh and in the meantime I'm working at a 9 to 5 office job for the fed. government, that I hate, when I made a promise to myself when I was younger that I would never do that. I think soon I will be living the life a more grown up version of myself imagines, once I finihs my schooling and start working in the wildlife field.

When we are young we have grand ideas about life,we will be rich and famous,we may be a film star or a pop star lol and then as we get older it all gets far more realistic, life kicks in and we get our first job, usually a fairly normal job,and from then on our life is in the lap of the gods really. We as you say have to be very thankful for what we have,if we have a home and a family and a loving environment then we must count ourselves very lucky. Many hanker after a rich and famous lifestyle, but the flip side of the coin is that there are many rich and famous who would give anything for happiness, love and security.

In some aspects I am living the life I imagined. I'm happily married and we living in a nice neighborhood and have a nice car so as far as that aspect, it's on track. I didn't think it would be as hard to pay for the house and the car but no one ever imagines the details of a fairy tale life. There are some things that I imagined that haven't come to pass yet, but I'm sure they will in due time.
