Hey there, I am just wondering if I am the only one who has to spend 2 hours of ravelling from home to college evryday. If you are like me, have you ever felt bored taking public transport to your workplace/college? How do you kill time?

Well, it's just a ride away, about 3 kilometers from where I stay. Sometimes, my husband drives me to work and sometimes if he leaves early then I ride a tricycle. It could take for only 5 to 10 minutes to get to my workplace, so there's no need to kill time. Have a nice day!

I so envy you. I wish mine is 5 mins too. Maybe next semester I'll try to rent somewhere nearer than where I am now.

I am so lucky that my house is just a 30 minute away from my workplace. and if it isn't traffic, I can go here in the office in just a snap!

Hello koharukusumi. I spend about 35 to 40 minutes in the car, each way, to work. But right now, I work just 2 days per week. I have very little experience taking public transportation. Where we live now doesn't have much in the way of public transportation. I take spells when I check out books on CD from the local public library and listen to the books on my way to and from work. I've "read" alot of books that way. But, I've not checked out any audio books lately.

Hey there, wow that is a cool way to kill time. If only i have a car but thinking about it, the oil prices is too high now it's pointless to drive a car. Nice way of 'reading' books though ^^

I live in the Philippines and it takes me about 15-30 minutes to get to work depending on what time I leave. I get to work by car and the traffic gets really bad here starting at around 6:50A.M - 7:00A.M. When I'm stuck in traffic, I'd usually just listen to music and watch the other cars and buses out the window.

Hurmmm... Driving can be tedious too becoz I experienced it before especially when there is traffic jam. Here it gets busy 7.30am-9am and 430 pm-7pm. Other times is not so busy.

Hi Koharukusumi, I have been lucky in that I have never had to travel very far to school or work but both of my daughters had to as we lived in a rural area and they had to leave at just before 7 to get to school by nine which was a very long day day for them both. They used to kill the time messing with other friends on the train, listening to music and on the journey home catch up with homework if they could or read. Huggles. Ellie :D

Hey,Kusumi.Long time no see!Now I am just in my university. My university is quite far from my home because they are in two cities.I have to use more than one hour to go back home from university, don't by train but by plane!.But in China it is very normal. So you are not the only one using a lot of time to travel from college to home. But I don't go home everyday,it is quite diffcult to me.During the trip,I always play my NDS,the good games will help me passing the time... Have a good day,my friend!

My work place is not very far, just 20++ minutes drive from home, depend on the traffic. If i leave from home earlier, when traffic is less, i get to arrive at office earlier.

It's the same for me too. If I leave early then it's so peaceful but if it during peak hour than it is Hell-ish.

Hurmmm I am experiencing it now. Sometimes I just read newspapers to kill time but if I spend $1 for newspapers then I'll spend $30 per month on newspaper so screw that.
