I thought it was bad enough that when I started a discussion about two websites one should have the heads up about, that is felonspy.com and PuppyProfits.com that I soon learned the latter was a hoax website....it still ticked me off that someone sick enough would create a whole website about the joys and profits of dog fighting....then okay...some time passes..and I get the heads up from one of the posters that responded to my discussion where I admitted my idiotic mistake about the dogfighting one being a hoax...but now it turns out that the felonspy.com site was a hoax too..
Maybe cause I was tired...I usually don't jump the gun and create a discussion without trying to verify facts....I guess my humble excuse is that I've been writing all day and frankly I'm brain fog....and yes, I admit I'm an idiot. I should have check things out first

Now Howard, how did you know it was me that accessed my mom's computer? I'm mad at her since she hasn't been writing the novel all about me in ages...instead she's writing these dumb articles....I'm more important than those articles of hers. Shhhhh...she's still in the kitchen washing dishes...mmmm...where should I go next while I have access to her computer....ah, got it....I'll order some kitty food just for me..oh drat..can't..she's finished....gotta go.......Pyewacket

Oh he has cause nothing but havoc here. The little sneak posted a couple of discussions in error and trying to put the blame on you. Can you believe that. I think all treats should be taken away until he is sorry. Remind him he doesn't want to be on punishment, his favorite holiday is coming up - HALLOWEEN!

well Pyewacket is hiding somewhere..he knows he's been a bad kitty. Before he hid I told him he's grounded....I picked up all his toys and told him he can't play with them for two weeks and he isn't going to get any catnip either

i wouldn,t say you are idiot you just made a mistake we are imperfect in makes many mistakes don,t be so hard on yourself its ok.you know what you have to do now is check your information are do research to make sure it,s correct thats all have a bless day.

i think a lot of times we all do it. I have had people forward things in email that was unbelievable and just because it seemed so outragious, i've forward it to my friends only to have one come back with the snopes site and urban legends site. my face was red but i'd just say, hey it was interesting and so and so told me so blame them...HA!HA!

As far as I know so far haven't posted anything that turned out to be a hoax site, however at one time I did say a few things that my brain decided to screw up and it came out all wrong, making me sound like a dork..

What a relief that the felon one is a hoax. Luckily though if it were a true site, I wouldn't have to worry as there were no felons in my area lol. Don't sweat it pye, we have all had this happen to us at sometime or another.

Nobody gets away without slipping at some point, pyewacket, and that is why I'm never too hard on someone when they make a mistake. It happened to me recently when I posted a link that was incomplete. One responder came at me like I was the most stupid person to walk this earth. I really felt she blew it all out of proportion, but some people are small-minded that way. I was taught that it's alright to make a mistake as long as you can own up to it later.

time or another. I was all gung ho a while back about all
the mylotting I was going to do,only one problem the idiots from Att and t were working on the phone lines and had screwed up our internet connections so I could not even get on the net let along do any mylotting, so I spent all morning here doing nothing and cussing under my breath at good old A t and t. grgrgrgr I love myinternet connecion.lol lol lol

Only every day of my life am I an idiot! You know what I say? F*&k em if they can't take a joke. Life is too short to be taken so seriously.
I used to forward every "AOL will pay you 100 dollars if you forward this email to 100 people" email to all of my friends every time I got one. Then, one of my caring, less idiotic friend introduced me to snopes .com and urbanlegends .com, where I could investigate anything from "viruses" to "KFC Secret recipe" emails that flood everyones spam box everyday

LOL.... I think I got the point here.. Haha... YEs sometimes we try to enlighten someone with something new and sometimes we get embarassed when what we supposedly thought to be a revolution or elightenment is a hoax. I think I may have been in these situations but I just can't remember. ANd yes, I can be an IDIOT sometimes. ^^

Hi pye,
Don't beat yourself up and it was a good mistake and it brought it out into the open what people can do, I for one don't think you are an idiot. I can't think of anything I've done to make me feel an idiot for the moment but I'm sure I have done it many times.

LOL so nice to know I'm not alone! I have caught myself, too, posting things that are false and then later feeling like an idiot. Hey, no one's perfect! One time I even checked the Snopes link (or what I thought was Snopes) and it turns out it was part of some "creative writing" posting on Snopes and the story was totally false! Didn't know Snopes had a creative writing portion! *sigh* Oh well. I guess we all need to be humbled once in a while!
