A Haunting

I love this show, I truly do. But, I noticed in the past that, whenever I watch the show I noticed more activity from the spirits that live in my house. I mentioned this to my wife and she told me she thought perhaps we should stop watching the show. But, I missed it and while Shelly was on the phone today I started watching A Haunting. When she finished her phone call and came out to the living room, noticing what I was watching, said something about how I must love to upset these spirits.
So, my questions to you are this: Do you ever watch this show? Do you like it? And, since I watched it this afternoon, how much strange activity should I expect tonight while I am trying to sleep?

Hi fwidman..I can't say that I have ever watched the programme as I live in the UK and am not sure if we get it here but whenever you do watch a programme involved with the other side you are enteraining the spirits that are with you so they will get more active..it happens with me at my house..its nothing to worry about they are just letting you know they are there..you aren't upsetting the spirits at all....littleowl

You are right that the spirits aren't upset but spirit can manifest themself as a ghost not all are negative...most just carry on living the life they used to or come in visitation to our world..but so as not to alarm/perhaps frighten us they show us they are there by their activity...and yes it wouldn't surprise me if they are laughing at the show! LOL

What gets me is some of those stories are so scary they portray on there. Yes there are evil ghosts poltergeists and good spirits, Regardless not much scares me but if this type of stuff was happening on a regular basis and getting worse. Especially you will hear as a last ditch effort, The owners of the house will bring in a priest to bless the house and sometimes when this happens it angers the spirits to no ends, I remember watching an episode where the couple moved into the house and they had a small baby and the baby started to have scratch marks down its back and other very weird things were happening... Is that not the time to flee I dont know about you guys but I would be out of there immediately

Yeah, fwidman, I've seen this show, and needless to say, I also found it quite interesting. Though I seriously doubt whether voices of ghosts can be recorded as they show it, yet it's quite eerie, made all the more by the fact that these are true stories. Well, going by what you said about your house previously also, it can very well be featured on the show one day. When those experts contact the spirits in your house, you'll also be able to know exactly who they are and what they want from you. I know, you are at complete peace with them and don't want them out. But perhaps, it will be better to know thy neighbour also(not actually neighbour, I know, but couldn't resist from using the phrase!!) And I know precious few about ghosts and spirits. So I won't, of course, be able to predict the degree of activity of your roommates! But one thing I must have to say, you have a very odd set of spirits in your house. I have never heard of spirits coming to watch the TV!! Perhaps they also try to learn about themselves and their condition as much as we do, and so they want to see how much the living have advanced in this field. And I don't know, but you must be knowing how young kids have a tendency to imitate anything which they find interesting on TV? Perhaps, your spirits also become excited by the haunting capability of their friends elsewhere and try to live up to them!! Just a thought, nothing serious, so don't get pissed off, please. Cheers.

Usually spirits and ghosts turn the t.v. set on or off, they don't watch the silly program that I know of. But, you may be right, maybe they just want to hear how other spirits do things
I have often heard that ghosts/spirits can be recorded, although I'm sure it takes some fancy equipment to get the sound high enough that a person can hear it and understand what they said.
One of them spoke to me once, a long time ago, but I was asleep and he woke me up and gave me a message. It seemed highly important at the time and made me happy, but now, time has passed and I have no idea what the message was anymore

I watch it sometimes if i remember but never get worried about it if someone comes a calling to me i feel its someone trying to tell me something...
Now what happens to you? Does strange shoes go missing? Kitty litter or catnip found in strange places?..Don't blame it on me!lol..

Since there is a cat in my house, I would only blame those things on Angel, not you But, if my shoes disappear, that would definitely not be the poor cat. 
You always should listen, the message they are trying to give you might indeed be something important or special

I have watched it a few times and i like it but gives me the creeps. Do you really love to upset them? It seems you really expect something unusual to be happening with you tonight. I don't know if i can be as brave as you, in my case i sure don't want to hear that whistle in the night anymore. Good luck to you!

Hi fwidman,
We have not got that show over here in the U.K but there are lots of paranomal programmes here and at the moment I'm watching Ghost Hunter International and it is great. Last week there was something strange happened here and I have made a disussion about it called "Noise of Pebbles" if you look into my profil page you will find that discussion.
