Do you wear sandal or walk barefooted at home?

[i]Hi subha, I love wearing sandals all the time...It is also a habit for me..Hubby is not and like your Mom, he will only wear something during winter! But, in my Family, My Parents and Sister, we used really to wear slippers or sandals inside the house![/i]

The short answer is both; the long answer is a little of both. Around the house, it can depend on where I am in the house. There are rooms in the house, like the kitchen, that has tile on the floor and it can be pretty cold. In the middle of the night when it's really cold, I will need to slip on the flip-flops or something to keep my feet warm. But then on the hot days, I would rather be barefoot to get my feet a little cool down. Most times, if it's in the carpet, I will go barefoot cause it's so soft, and I want to keep the carpet looking nice.

in india, normally people wear sandals in home , while taking bath and in winter it is essential too. one has to to be habituated to this

I go barefoot at home. :) Sometimes even when I am in the garden, I go barefoot. I wear shoes only when I have to go on the street. :) Cheers and happy mylotting

I usually do wear sandals or shoes at home. Usually in winter the floors are too cold to go with even just socks. In summer, I live in my sandals I don't even think twice about having them on all day.

I always wear comfy slippers at home. I was never barefoot. I seldom clean our floors so it's really a must not to be bare foot here.

Hi subha, I am used to put on my soft slipper when walking indoor at home. I hate my feel to get dust on them walking barefooted at home. I wonder where the dust comes from. My husband’s sister mops the floor in every other day but the floor still gets dusty easily. I think there might be so many vehicles passing by my house daily. Both my husband and his sister do like wearing slipper while walking at home. She dislikes her feet to step on the cold floor . My son and my nephew prefer to walk barefooted at home.

I always wear my sandals... since my apartment is not fully carpeted... i hate the feel of cold floor on my feet... so wearing sandals is the best solution for that... but maybe if i live in a house that has wall to wall carpeting... i don't have to wear sandals anymore...

Since the floor at our home is wooden. So I prefer to be barefoot at home. In winter, I have to wear thick cotton slippers because I am afraid to the coldness. I love China

Hello subha12 I am not wearing slippers in my home except in winter season as I can not tolerate cold. During winter season I need slippers. Though it is matter of habit but I think it is good habit to wear slippers. Sometimes I have noticed that few of my friends house that they are using slippers even in toilet, so it is ridiculous . I do not like, Pl. share whether you are using your slipper in toilet? pkc3000

I use Slippers or what you call Flipflops, at home. I dont step without those. I think its a good habbit, but i feel like foot skin is getting more and more softer and its loosing its toughness. By mistake if a lay my foot on a small stone, it hurts me a lot. Before it was not like that, once i started wearing the footwear every were it started to smoothen feet skin. So gona stop wearing these footwear atleast when i am home, except for bathrooms.

it depends on where i am. I have 2 home. Once in singapore and one in china. in china, i will wear sandal as the environment is not so clean as in singapore. the floor gets really dirty pretty fast. in singapore, i have no problems with walking barefooted

i hate shoes, and I never wear them if I don't have to. But then I find when winter sets in it is hard to wear my shoes that tie. Seems your feet spread out when you don't wear shoes. I guess when I was small we was pretty poor and we only had a good pair of shoes for if we was going somewhere or for school, other times we just went barefoot. I also have a spot on the bottom that had a chunk of glass taken out and then it formed a callous and that makes it hard to walk on shoes unless you find a pair that fits to the spot. No I don't wear shoes unless I have to. Bad habit!

I always wear sandals at home. it's my habbit from childhood days.all of my family members wear it for the whole year.

At home I mostly go barefoot and if I go outside to the yard or go to get the mail I slip on some sandals and on occassion will go outside barefooted. Winter will be here soon and I have been in sandals and barefoot all summer other than when I work and that is only part-time 25 hours per week. Not looking forward to the cold and having to wear regular shoes and boots. Usually in the winter time I still only go around the house in just socks or slippers, mostly just wearing socks.

Well, I walk barefoot inside my room. But in any other area inside the house I wear slippers.

Morning Subha... I'm an old Hippie and always wear sandals when i go out anywhere but am usually found barefoot anywhere else..when i go to work i take the sandals off and walk around barefoot..my customers are used to me like this so all is fine!

well usually wear slippers.i hate walkin barefooted at home.maybe its because i am used to wear it.i know many of my friends who like to be walking barefooted.
