A doctor couple took this bold decision of donating the organs of their brain dead 16 year old son. This boy fell from the motor bike and sustained head injuries and when he was taken to the hospital he was brain dead.Being doctors they knew nothing could be done and instead of just cremating the body they decided to donate his organs. His heart, kidney's,corneas and liver were removed and it is to be used on patients waiting their turn for a fresh lease of life. The parents are grieving at the same time they say they feel a sense of fulfilment.Though they lost their son they wanted to help others so they took this bold step.I wonder how many would be able to do such a thing.I admire this couple for being so noble inspite of their grief. Please let know what you feel about this.

Now the awareness is spreading.More and more people are coming forward. Many have taken up the task of spreading the good that comes of it.I really appreciate those who are doing it. I happened to see a visiting card which had this printed below the address"Please Don't take your organs to Heaven. For Heaven knows we need them here". A thoughtful message I thought.

The doctor parents have turned God in the eyws of the parents whose nine year old daughter who is improving with the new heart of the boy who passed away.
The boys coneas are harvested and stored in Sankara Netralaya.
His kidneys and liver have been harvested by Apollo hospital and his bone marrow is taken to be used in cancer patients.
Those parents become someone extraordinary and models for us.
And the highlight of this whole operation is bringing out the other side of themost maligned heart of the police personnel of Tamil Nadu. The timely acrion of the commisioner sekar and the police driver who has covered the distance from hospital to hospitalwith the harvested heart in twenty km in 11 minutes in this manic traffic is a very great task and applaudable.
