Do you wish you could edit your discussions once you started them ?

Have you ever noticed starting a discussion or responding to one and realizing after you hit summit that you made an error in your spelling ? Would you like to be able to edit this ? How does this make you feel when you realize what you did ? I have noticed I have been doing this lately and wish I could edit my mistakes , I always feel like an idiot when I realize what I did :)

Yeah same here, but I think most of us can understand what was meant. I least I hope so.

I do this all the time. Even if I look over my post first, I don't really notice the error until after I have hit submit. It can be frustrating, but fortunately most people won't really notice because they'll understand what was meant and not worry about a tiny spelling mistake or a missing capitalization.

It would help an awful lot if we were able to do this. There have been many times that I have forgotten a link to my discussions and wanted to add it, but was not able to.

Because I have only ever posted a link once or twice I have not forgotten to do this yet but I am sure with time I will end up making the same error lol Thank you for your response .

Yes, I have many times. I have even attempted to try and correct my error, but once you hit the post discussion, or post response button, there is no turning back. That, then, leaves me with an error in my discussion that everyone gets to see. I do wish that myLot, will allow you to delete discussions that you no longer want responses to. I agree with you on this matter!

No I don't need the editing. It makes us very careless and we tend to be carried away because we can always edit it.Without that device we are a bit careful and try to be decent here.

But sometimes, we can still find mistakes even after repeated checking.

It happens to me quite often. Maybe I should think more and read my post twice if not three before hitting the submit button.

Hi sam, It happens to me also but I don't spend time worrying about it..LOL! Just be cool! People here will understand! as long as the thought of the post is clear! But, wish there is really a section where it is possible to edit whatever we have posted! That will be nice!

I so wish that there was a way that I could edit discussions that I have started or responded to. Once I wrote "cease the moment" and I meant "seize the moment". I felt so stupid but I guess that we all make mistakes from time to time. The worst thing I have done was make a spelling error in the title of a discussion that I was starting. I felt like such an idiot and if I could I would have edited that. Sometimes I omit a word and so my sentence doesn't make sense. I know that every member on My Lot would find being able to edit useful.

I know somehow it is worse when it is in a title to a disussioin you started because you see it so clear every time you go to answer the responses . I always feel like such an idiot :) Thank you for your response .

I always preview my posts and I edit almost every response I make at myLot. Sometimes an error will still get posted because I did not notice it when I previewed my response, but I can always correct it if I want, by adding a comment. It does not really matter if an error get posted, if the response can be understood by others.

I need to spend more time previewing my post before I hit that summit button lol . Thank you for your response .

Yes!! Maybe if myLot gave you up to 2 hours to edit it, then after you could not. Some sites do that and it works because I have caught errors, after the fact, no matter how careful I am, and think, "Gee, people must think that I am stupid!!!" LOL

That's exaclty how I feel :) That would be a good idea because you usually realize your errors right away so two hours would be plenty of time to fix these errors :) Thank you for your response .

LOL.. Yes it is too bad that there are no edit features here in myLot, and that is why I believe that is why there is the preview response features before we are really sure about what we are going to write LOL. But yeah, one of mylotters has made a discussions about asking the edit feature from mylot so that we can edit before people under us answer.

YES I make so many mistakes and it sounds like I can't talk right and I sound like a kid or something and wish I could fix this so it didn't look so weird. I think maybe people don't answer me cause I make so many mistakes and if I could fix them maybe I could get more people to answer some of the discussions I start on here cause I only ever get a few people to answer to me.

Oh yes, I really felt bad seeing my spelline mistakes in my discussions. Yes, I wish there is an edit button so that you can still edit your discussion even if you submitted it already. I really felt bad about this. I just hope, someday there is an option for us to redo our spelling. I hate to see my mistakes.

Yes,sometimes when I read them I get to know that I have made mistakes and I would have the urge to correct them and would make sure that next time when I post anything I make sure that I dont make any mistakes.I feel it is actually our typing speed that makes some spelling wrong.Yes, me too I feel some times stupid when I read them. Regards
