First I would like to thank everyone who has prayed for my horrid situation where I was living and everything that was going on. Also, I apologize for not staying in touch or responding to all the responses to my last post here at myLot but I’ve just not been able to be online much and not sure when I will be active here but will pop in from time to time.
So, what’s been going on? There’s never a dull moment in Faith’s life that’s for sure. My son and I are staying with my sister and nephew. It’s really cramped here and sister’s house/home of 25 years is up for sale so not sure how long any of us will be here but it’s a roof over our heads and certainly not all bad.
We have moved all our belongings (or at least what we could save) to a storage shed. It’s packed to the ceiling – thanks to my son and nephew both 6’4” tall. It was a lot of work but Saturday 2 sisters and brother-in-law helped then Sunday son and nephew helped. I’m exhausted:(
I’ve been ‘job hunting’ as I would like to get a place of our own but my sister has asked us to stay for the time and actually appreciates having someone, me, here to talk to when she’s not working. Financially neither of us are doing too well as this is the sister that just graduated law school 2 years ago and the firm she’s with isn’t doing too well – the economy in our area is horrid.
During my ‘spare time’ I’ve been write, write, and writing. I’ve submitted several articles to Associated Content and to Helium. I was thrilled when AC accepted 2 articles I submitted for upfront payment, have 4 more waiting for their offer, and they have accepted 4 others that I submitted as pay per view only (links to all on my profile).
Hopping today to submit an article to Helium Market Place but not feeling real happy with it right now so may not even bother. I don’t have internet connection here on my computer but nephew gave me a thumb drive so I can transfer stuff I do on my laptop to sister’s computer and upload. It’s time consuming as she’s on the slowest dialup connection I’ve ever seen but better than nothing.
Ok, before this turns into a book – Nope, I’m not living on the lake but gone is the garden and we are just a house away from Wolf Lake. Advantages to living here: lake, raft, hot tub, and no fighting. The photo I shared here is the view from sister’s raft docked and I uploaded a few other photos under ‘places I’ve lived – the lake’ if you’d like to see more.
So, that’s the update – what’s been going on in your life?

I have been working with my photos a lot on redbubble haven't sold any yet but getting a lot of views (over 800) and lots of comments.I have been entering challenges at redbubble also.

You are very welcome. It is so good to hear from you and to know that you are okay. I'm sorry you had to go through all of that. Life can be so very hard at times. I think you will be fine though, in the long run. I will pray for you. There isn't a whole lot going on in my life other than working every day. the economy has us all doing that now it seems. I wish you better luck in the future.

Well, we are certainly glad to hear you have a roof over your heads. And a more peaceful place to dwell in. Hang in there and you know there are people praying for you. Send me your AC link and I will definitely come and read your work over there.
What's been happening in my life? Let me see. We got robbed . . . on my son's birthday and they took my son's birthday present, a $291 bike which I really couldn't afford in the first place. But I know it will all turn out. My son, poor kid, will be doing odd jobs around here so that he can save up for another bike.
In any case, I am glad to hear from you Faith. We'll look forward to brighter days.

It's a good thing that you have a place to stay and your sister must be a wonderful person to let you stay. And I see that you have been busy. I know you would want a place of your own, but with the economy the way it is, it is only a matter of time before people up here in Canada feel the pitch.
Well nothing much has been going on here. My daughter-in-law lost the baby - there was not one there to begin with but we did not know it. My younger son and his fiance have bought a house and will be moving in November. My husband is getting a bit better from the stroke, he is not as depressed but his balance is not that good. I am still working on my novel. Oh and our church is getting a new reverend finally, and I am going to be in the welcoming choir. So I really have to practice singing again.

I need to know something and hopefully you get this and can reply back before next Tuesday, but I sent you a PM about that info you wanted, but couldn't get it all..so if you can, read the PM for more details..
I am sorry you have lost your beautiful garden, I can't imagine losing something like that.In fact when there was chance we were going to loss this house, I had a very nice neighbor who has land that allowed me to move my most prized plants over to her place..I got them all back too, once we found we were staying, thank G♥d..I pray that your next home will have an even better garden, already for you to care for..
I so miss you, faith, I will continue to pray..

...gotta new grandchild.. a baby girl.. Here at this house, it's hubby and I, and our son, age 28, our daughter age 26 and her daughter, age 9 and newborn baby.. I rather like us all here (in this little house!) I'm good at sharing.. have a chair set up at a window in my small bedroom so when I'm home and hubby's not, someone else can have use of the living room and computer, etc. I've stayed with others lots too, and had the same attitude.. always would visit the rest of the family but also would have my own space, a sittin' area in my room.. Makes getting along much easier.. or so I think! Hope you enjoy the lake and all while you're there! And your sister of course!

Hello beautiful lady. My my, you have been getting some curved balls thrown (hurled?) at you over the last couple of years haven't you? It amazes me how resilient you are. And you do end up in the nicest places to live. What has happened to your ex-husbands home?
Things always stay the same for me. Life is in no way exciting , quite boring in fact but I see it as abundantly peaceful and I am content. My animals bring me joy and laughter, I have food in my belly, flowers on my verandah and a roof over my head.
I'm curious about all the writing you do. What on earth do you find to write about?

I supposs i have not been keeping up very well either, because i knew nothing about your move, the last i heard you were growing pumkins & going to go to the farmers market..You probably know by now that that Hurricane "Ike " hit downtown Houston(the eye) and we have been suffering with No lights, water, lots of debris, and fighting for gas, this lasted for over a week ,almost 2 weeks..I am now living with my daughter because my house was hit hard...I had big trees fall & knocked down all of my power ,plus the power pole that goes into my mobile home.I cannot stay there because i am total electric & not lights ,no phone,nothing...No hope to get it fixed right away either...Things are ok here at my daughters house but still many are still without lights, most traffic lights are not working...I have no idea when i will be able to return home...I am sorry to hear of your move.I supposs i will have to look up your discussions and see what has been going on..I have missed out on so much from mylot during this storm...Well thank God for sisters huh"? & big strong boys that can move you.I do hope things work out well for you..Meanwhile we are waiting for ll the debris from this storm to be picked up.Lots of damage & much work ahead of us...

I am so sorry everything has gone the way it went. Like I told you I am praying for you and know that my God will supply all of your needs according to his riches in Christ Jesus.
Now that is not just a spontaneous spouting of scripture. I belive it is a living promise from a God who care about you and wants to carry you through this time.
If there is anything I can do, feel free to inquire of me.

oh man thats sorry to hear and sobering at the same time because Im just waiting for this misfortune to affect my life. I also am sorry to hear about your sister I have a friend in Washington DC who does litigation and he just opened his own firm and I hope things work out for him. He was also telling me how his house he bought is a sitting duck as he cannot get anyone to buy it, right out side of DC in virginia and its a 500,000 house and costing him. He is going to have to work overtime getting clients because he originally was relying on some clients from the place he originally worked for to build his company and their referrals so this might put a dent into those plans.
