Well, of course, you should consult your doctor (as you are) but you may find this technique interesting: http://www.emofree.com/a/?3252 There is a video at the top right in which (unless they have changed it) someone describes the use of the technique for a painful knee. Many people have found with surprise and even flat unbelief that an old injury, such as you describe, can be successfully treated this way. The theory is that many such disabilities, both mental and physical, can be traced to the persistence of emotional trauma. I wonder if it's something to do with our minds not letting our bodies heal, perhaps. Whatever the explanation - and regardless of whether one believes it will work or not - many people have found that it *does* work. Since it is a quite harmless and self-applied technique, I see no reason not to at least try it!

I strongly believe that medication is NOT the answer, certainly not in the long term. It is true that they may seem to help us deal with the pain and allow us to lead more normal lives. If it is a new injury and pain medication can help us to survive while the body heals itself, then there is justification, but if it's a chronic injury, the medication does nothing to heal it - and may actually hinder it. Pain is the way our body has of telling us that something is wrong. Normally it is a good thing because it prevents us from using a muscle that needs rest to heal. If it goes on long beyond the healing process, then something else is the matter. There are many, many stories about the successful use of EFT in treating back pain. Here are just a few you may like to read: http://www.emofree.com/a/?3252/articles.aspx?id=7

Hi there mattcassethan My friend's boyfriend recently slipped a disk and became paralysed from the waist down. He was taken to hospital, they worked out what the problem was and popped the disk back in and he is fine again now!

Yes I think it did freak him out to start with because he had no clue what had happened but as easily as it popped out it popped back in!

When I have back pain I do stretching exercises, and things that build up my abdominal muscles because that is like having an internal brace on.Walking does this, even, as well as increasing circulation, which helps. I use a cream with capsaicin in it, it is warming, because it is made with pepper oils, do not get it in your eyes. You can only remove it with an oil based product like cooking oil or baby oil. I eat cumin, ginger and tumeric for anti inflammatory purposes and I mega dose on Vitamin B 6. My husband has learned to sleep on his side, with a pillow between his knees because that keeps your spine aligned. No one really wants to take pain pills all of the time, and I am sure you do not. I hope you can get some relief.

I also experience to have a back pain and I got it when I was in my younger age or teenage times when we do play football in the sea with my friends and until now I have it after that incident of kicking the ball in and I was out of balance then that was the first and the last football game that I joined because I already have a trauma after the incident.......

Hot water can help your back when it is sore and try not to lift anything cause it puts more strain on your back. The pills will hlep take the edge off but having a sore back is no fun at all. Hope you find out it is not something serious. How ong do you have to wait for ansers? Good luck
