Are you watching the Presidential Debate?

It's just beginning and I'm glued to the set waiting to hear what the candidates have to say. We've already had our first misspeak of the night and the candidates haven't even been introduced yet - Olberman said that after they each speak the first time, they'll each have a chance to 'take the bait.. er, take the debate to the other'. McCain's campaign already posted an internet ad this morning declaring him the winner of the debate - what do you think it will take to win this debate? Will you be open-minded enough to concede if the other candidate makes a point that you agree with? Can the candidate that you DON'T support do -anything- at all to change your mind tonight, or is it all just an exercise in finding more things for us to wag our fingers at?

Nope, we have last weeks episode of Stargate Atlantis on. I was going to turn it on, but I am in too bad of a mood already and my husband hates when I yell at the TV LOL

LOL! My roommate has retreated to his room and keeps wandering out to find out why I'm yelling, and my next-door neighbor - who spent all day every day this week putting on a suit and tie and going out to job interviews - has come over to yell at the screen with me.

All that wasted energy. Maybe I should go run on the treadmill at watch the debate. I need to get in gear anyway. Those two idiots should get me running quick.

Just be careful looking at McCain's tie. Someone could have a seizure if they look at it too long. I'd love to know who advised him to wear it. They should be fired.

Why would I keep an open mind if McCain already won? LOL I watched the debate and honestly I think it was a draw both men did well, both had some things they could do better. I just wish that these things weren't timed because there were times when both men wanted to add to what was said but they were out of time.

Months ago I said I would feel fine if the election went either way. I honestly like Obama and I honestly like McCain. Overall, I relate better to Obamas view of the future, but I like McCain in that I feel like I can trust him. Listening to him talk, watching him play ball, I find it hard to compare him to Bush. But dont get me wrong, my first choice is Obama any day. Now as much as I like McCain, I loath his running mate. When I found out the political stuff she was made of, I saw it as McCain selling his soul to the far, far right. And this is the guy who is supposed to be reaching across party lines. I only mention Palin because at McCains age, the reality of his VP pick running the country is very real. And every time I have heard her open her mouth, I raise an eyebrow. I think all Americans have in the past few days. She is incompetent, lets be honest. A vote for McCain is a dangerous vote for the possibility of a Palin presidency. And that is a horrible thought in terms of national security. I look forward to the Biden/Palin debate most of all. I cannot wait untill Biden shoots her helicopter out of the sky. I imagine it will be the sensational debate of the election.

I just tuned into it about 30 minutes ago and so far from what I see they both have there positive and there negative but Obama is actually in my point of view winning this debate so far. Everytime McCain says something Obama stricks back with an even stronger answer thats makes a lot more sense and I think so far he would make a pretty good president. I like a couple of McCains points of views but overall Obama is beating him to the point.

I just tuned into it. I am not sure who will win the debate. Things are heated due to the newest bail out. I honestly do not know if any politician will get us out of the mess that we are in anytime soon. From my point of view there are pro's and con's on both sides. I honestly do not know who I will vote for come election day. I have swayed back and forth for a while and right now I am on the fence.

It's definitely interesting. I'm honestly not looking for a winner or a loser - I want to hear what they each have to say to elaborate on things that I've read. I hope that you hear enough to help you make your decision - or at least inspire you to look more closely and make a decision.
