Pacman - Dela Hoya fight - A Dangerous Mismatch

There have been gossips lately that the upcoming Pacman-Dela Hoya fight is a mismatch. Games and Amusement Board (GAB) tends to revoke Manny's boxing license if he should continue the said dangerous fight. Massachusetts State Boxing Commission chair Daniel Fitzgerald said that he was worried over the sheer height and heft disparity between De La Hoya who is a 10-time world champion and stands 5-foot-10 and Manny Pacquiao, 5-foot-6. Manny is going to get seriously hurt unless the Golden Boy goes easy on him. Fitzgerald added that this won't go pass four or five rounds, and Pacquiao, given the warrior that he is, is going to take vicious beating. What can is your opinion about this? Is this really a mismatch? Why would they set-up the bout when at the very beginning this is considered to be a mismatch?

Heck, the question whether it is a mismatch or not should not be ask anymore. It is an obvious mismatch! Golden Girl will easy beat Manny. They set-up the fight because they are gonna earn a lot.. That's what it is..

haha. you're not a good boxing analyst. LOL.. yes, Manny will always fight, but to fight Golden Girl is a risk. Can't you see almost all the advantages are on Oscar's side?. The height, reach, power, tactics, etc.. Also, Manny will add up more pounds.. so he won't be as quick as he was.. Come on, I know you are rooting for Pacman (honestly, I am too) but all odds are against Manny.. ayusin mo nga English mo..

Yeah, that's very true. They already have an agreement how much share each party can gain after the fight. There are lots of conditions on Manny's side.

sorry, i think ur wrong both...even Manny get much in the event it is not the reason, the real thought is Manny can really fight Oscar De La Hoya it cames to that fight because Manny is strong, the # 1 found for found boxer, De La Hoya also wants to fight because he is behind to that title, the # 1 boxer now, why Manny also came to that because he has became great he beat many great fighter like Barrera, Moralez, Marquez, and Diaz and that was the way it is no other than, if there is somebody did it than Manny and Manny was not it those somebody will come to that fight but definately has not, fortunately that is Manny, and not an easy why Manny came to that he passed to many hard fight before...just like that!!! If Manny is it not the champion now did not beat Barrera, Morales, Marquez, And Diaz, definately Manny dont came to that fight...

I honestly am one of the persons who don't want to see this fight because I honestly think that De La Hoya is going to beat Pacquiao. De La Hoya should off taken a stronger opponents and someone that is around his height and power. I think the 2 boxers that come to mind to fight De La Hoya would off been Miguel Cotto or Antonio Margarito. I really don't know why Oscar didnt offer anything to fight any of these two. I think right now they are the best at there division and they are the toghest fighters out there rightn ow. De La Hoya needs to stop trying to look for the easy fight instead of getting into an intense battle with the light of Cotto or Margarito. I heard that there might be a Cotto vs Margarito Part 2 so let's see if after that fight Oscar actually ends up fighting one of them like he should off in this fight he is going to go up against Pacquiao.

Maybe Oscar have been caught in the phenomenal sensation of Manny who makes all his opponents down. Maybe he wants to try just how much this young man is capable of doing boxing over the ring. Pacquiao at his current weight seems to be unbeatable, but still I think this is really a mismatch. I think Manny have climb up to meet Oscars division. He just recently move to lightweight, there is still adjustments Manny have to be made in the current division.

I'm no boxing expert I just enjoy watching fighters beat each senseless but they'll be fighting in the same weight limit, right? I guess we'll just have to watch and see.

That's basically true. It's more on business side now than the actual fight. It's more like a spar. The pay-per-view income is settled and almost all ticket are sold out for this big fight.

ODLH is a patsy who's become fat and decadent with his money, while Manny hasn't lost his hunger and will to fight during his career. ODLH lost his spirit as a boxer when the money started pouring in. The question here is who's got the bigger heart and will during fight time. I don't think there's any mismatch here. ODLH may be naturally bigger but that will only make him fall with a louder bang LOL

Manny will win!!! Manny is strong, he has a power like some big fighter has. They are not so different it is only a number but in personal they are so different in size look if you have some enemy even in personal moments if you are strong and know how to fight could you not fight the one? If you feel you can fight someone even it is bigger than you can't you fight...see the event, see the result.
