personally, i enjoy both because each gives a feeling that each other can't. hehe i like eating at home with my family, it gives a certain feeling of oneness with your family at home and it also give d ifferent level of happiness and love from the family. i also enjoy dining out like once or twice a week would do, coz eating out makes you see other people, and what new in town like happpenings, new dishes, restaurants, etc. i like both well depends on my mood actually :) how about you? which one do you prefer?

I think I need a combination of both, I'll get sick of it if I have it over a long period of time. =(. In the past, my mom stayed home and looked after my sister and I, hence we had home cooked food almost daily. When I was 14, she rejoined the workforce and I had to dine out almost daily. I ran out of ideas on what to eat (partly due to me being picky about food). About a month back, she quit working and she's now a stay home mom again, hence, I get to have home cook food almost everyday. The difference is, I am much older now, thus, I may dine out with my friends some of the time. It's hard to strike a balance between both I guess, but it is not easy to find the balance, it's always changing.

Personally, I too enjoy both. Lol, but as I am a very lazy person, i enjoy dining out more than I enjoy dining in at home. If I am cooking at home, it would just be for myself and it gets very lonely at times. My brother is in the army and is only out during the weekends, and my mother is a vegetarian, which means to say that the food I cook will only for myself to eat. And because of this fact, I get so lonely eating alone at home. Besides that, I will have to clear the dishes and clean up all the cutleries that were used and all the utensils and equipments used. The cleaning up and the preparation process is something that I hate the most about eating in at home. I love dining outside as I would get to enjoy the companionship of my friends, chating and chilling the whole night out while eating. That somehow makes the food taste better and I leave the place feeling a whole lot better! ANd.. I will have a huge choice of food to choose from.. Hehe.. that is something which I would never get at home as there are some food I enjoy, but do not know how to prepare and cook the dish. And the best part about dining out? I don't have to prepare my own food and do the washing up afterwards! There are people hired for all that purposes. Hehe.. like I mentioned, I am very lazy. Dining out also enables us to meet new people and new friends along the way. I love chatting with people and that is a experience I could never get from eating at home! (But then I will have to admit that eating out still hits the pocket worse than hitting the pocket dining at home.. but the pros of eating outwards still outweights the pros of eating at home!) Well, take care my friend!

hehehe i totally agree with you. just like i have said, each of them has their positive and negative side that are not even comparable. it just depens on what mood are you in :) if you have too cook yourself, its a pretty long way from preparing, then eating then washing the dishes, its pretty tiring even if you do enjoy cooking yourself. not like dining out, you just have to sit, order, chat with your friends or relaz while you wait, you eat and you pay. thanks for taking time to pospont to my discussion :) take care also my friend :)

Thanks for the best response tag! It brought a smile to my face when I saw the BR today when i logged into Mylot Nothing in the world is comparable when it comes down to choices in life. Different people will have different perceptions and preferences for stuff, and yes it definately depends on the mood that we are in that determines the environment that we feel like dining in! Dining out is always more favourable for the lazy buggers, when we think of how much time we have to waste and the efforts that we have to put in just to cook a decent meal to eat. Before that tasks is done, we won't have enough energy left just to enjoy the food that we had prepared! Anyway, thanks once again! Take care!

I prefer to eat at home with all the family gathered around the table. It gives me a warm feeling, a feeling of being united with my beloved ones.

I prefer to eat at home. There are many reasons for it, however i think the main one is because i dont like eating in front of strange people, nor do i like being around people really. I suffer social anxiety/phobic so restaraunts are not a good place for me :) However, if it is a small restaraunt with an LLBO sign on front..well..i could be persuaded ;) when i first met my hubby, it took me 6 mnths YUP 6 mnths to eat in front of him. I would take him his dinner, but then stand at the kitchen counter to eat.

Well I am the cook in my family so any time I get the chance to dine out is a treat for me. I'm not saying that home eating is not great for me cause it is only the portion of being at the dinner table with my family, but I am the cook and cooking almost 21 meals in seven days for four other people other then myself can be a real burden so overall I would have to say Dining Out is a Wonderful Thing LOL.

I also depends on my mood and the food. But I usually eat out at least once a week just to have a break from home-cooked meals that I get to eat almost all the time. I love trying out new restaurants and new dishes for the experience and the feedback that I could give. I guess I got that trait from my dad, although we have our favorite restaurant that we go too every weekends, we also make it a point to try out different restaurants every chance we get.

I am looking forward for our dinner everyday because my mom is a great cook. Since I am at work early, I normally have a breakfast or lunch brought from a food stall and I prefer to eat at home since it is more delicious and I know it is safer to eat. I do dine outside once in a while with my friends but I prefer home made foods more than foods from a restaurant or fast food chains.

It really depends if I have the money and the time. If I have the money to buy ingredients and the time to cook a good meal then definitely I'll eat at home. If I have the money to spend and the time to eat a good meal at a restaurant then I dine out. Sometimes I enjoy eating out because I get to taste different foods problem only is that the servings are always too small for me.

I prefer home cook better. However, i like to have some dine out once in a while. The main reason for me to dine out is to try something new and give my mum a rest from cooking everyday.

I like both but I enjoy more on dining out, because of a one main reason: I don't do all the work! But I'm a thrifty person so I try not to dine out as much as possible. Besides, there are also good benefits when you cook the food by yourself. I could list down some pros and cons about cooking food by yourself versus dining out. Cooking your own Food: PROS: -A lot cheaper. -You exactly know all the ingredients you put in your food. -You can serve as big as you want. -It's your place, so you have the luxury to seat awkwardly with out any bad stare from other people. CONS: -A lot time consuming, and energy consuming. Because you will do all the work from scratch. -If you're already so hungry, you have no choice but to wait the food to be cooked. -If the food didn't end up delicious, you have no choice either you eat it or try to cook again. -You will need to think and study new dishes every now and then to have the variety of new dishes. -You will do all the work from chopping the ingredients to washing up the dishes. DIning out: PROS: -You don't have to do any of the cooking process. You will just sit, order, eat and pay. -You will experience dining on a different environment than your house. -foods are usually served in appetizing pleasurable appearance. -A wide range of variety of food. You can choose spontaneously. -The serving process in restaurants are faster compare to cooking your own food. -You are treated with privilege as customers. CONS: -A lot more expensive compare doing all the food process all by yourself -You don't know what exactly do they put in your food, you can't see how they process your food. -If your order wasn't punched in unintentionally, you will start the ordering process again.

i prefer to eat at home most of the time as it is more relaxing and it is much cheaper as well... i don't like to eat outside as it is costing a lot and we just don't have the budget for it... but we do eat outside every now and then when we want to just to relax... take care and have a nice day...

it depends. soometimes i really love eating out in expensive restaurants. but when out of budget i just eat at home to save some money for more important things like paying bills and etc. but usually i eat at home cause it is more healthy to eat food that i coooked myself that eat outside though they are lot of good restaurants that offer healthy foods but those are expensive restaurants that i could eat often to. i can only afford to eat on fastfood every day. but it is not safe in our helath to eat fast food most of the time. so i still try to cook vegetables and other helath foods at home to have a healthy body .

i would prefer dining out with the whole family. It gives you different ambiance and taste different cook of foods. I am used to foods that are home cooked, i want to have experience change. At present, i prefer to have my dinner in a japanese restaurant to give me a different taste. I want to try my dinner on different restaurant each day so that ill have the opportunity to pick out the best resto here in our place.=)
