On which day do you the house chores?

My wife has come with he "brilliant" idea to do all the house chores on Friday. Friday is the worst day for her since she works longer hours. So she has to start house chores at around 19:30CET. Obviously I have to give a helping hand in the washing of the floors etc. Why can't she see that choosing another day would be more suitable? On which day do you the house chores?

well me i do something everyday that way it doesn't back up and leave me doing it one day of the week. i have a dry erase board and i write what needs to be done on the board at the beginning of the week and i just separate some of those chores for each day of the week so i don't do all on one day i do a little every day. Hope this helps.

Like many women I do my household chores every day lol there are always things to be done, and if im honest I often wish that there wasnt!but if you dont do it then it just mounts up,leaving a real mess to be cleared up in the end.But your wife seems to be very well organised ,she clearly has a very good routine organised ,well done her.

I just wish she chooses another day instead of Friday to do the floor washing of the whole house. She is tired from work because she comes in late. I suggested Thursday but for some fancy reason Thursday does not seem good for her.

Well, I do it whenever I feel like it. Gladly hubby doesn't mind even if the house is a bit dirty and messy he he he...So I have no particular day to do house chores. I often wash the dishes, though, 'coz I don't like to see dirty dishes piling on top of the kitchen cabinets...but most of the time I vacuum our floor and wash the clothes once a week.

My wife is doing the house chores every Saturday, because I have no office and I am doing the washing of clothes in helping her.

I have to clean everyday of the week . If I take even one day off you can tell that nothing was done because if I don't do anything , no one else will . I had a really bad migraine the other night and was in bed for most of yesterday and boy could you tell when I woke up this morning . I would have been horrified if someone had come to visit , thats how bad it was . I do wash everyday and still never manage to keep up to it , dishes have to be done at least a couple of times a day and it doesn't seem to matter how often I dust or sweep as it will have to be done again in a couple of hours , the toilets I can let go for a couple of days but they still have to be washed down everday . The vacuming has to be done at least a couple of times in the run of a day or the rug looks like it was never vacumned because one of the little ones is sure to spill something . There really is so much to be done in the run of a day that I would never be able to let it go all week because there really would be no place to walk and no dishes to eat off and you would be lucky to find any clean clothes in the house .

I do chores pretty much everyday laundry dishes and straightening up, but I am a housewife so I have everyday to keep up the house. On weekends is when I sometimes will decide to get down with some heavy duty cleaning, if I'm feeling good that is.

She's probably doing them so she can have the weekend off to do nothing. I myself don't do chores as we live with his mother and father and when I moved in she said that I didn't have to do anything. Well basically she did. It was kind of strange letting her wash my laundry at first, anyway we're just engaged, when we get married I might convince her to let me do mine and his. It'll be a load of her (literally) hahah!

We, also have chosen Friday for most of the house cleaning. That leaves the house clean in case we should have company during the weekend. Are you complaining because you don't like the day your wife chose or because you have to have to help. If both of you work, you should share the housework.

My husband does the house chores. I do the outside stuff. Some stuff we do together. My question to you is this: Have you stopped to think maybe your wife is using the house chores as a way to decompress after a hard week at work? Maybe she's clearing her mind for a peaceful week-end. Just a thought.

Maybe she likes a clean house before the weekend because some people choose the weekend to stop by more often. I ask you this if she chose a day she didn't have to work long would you still help? Maybe she is wanting your help so she chooses a day you would help. For me House cleaning is done more on Thursdays. And Sundays. Thursday because garbage day is Friday so we try to get all the garbage together and out of the house for pick up so what better time to clean?

I split my household chores up throughout the week so that I am not overwhelmed on any given day. I have a friend who does all of hers on saturday. By splitting mine up I can still do what i need on the pc and find time to go out shooting photos.

I have different chores I do each day. I had to break it into days so it wasnt so overwhelming to me. It is hard to see an entire house that needs cleaning and know when and where to stop. I made up my chart and one for each of my kids and so far it is working very well.

I admit I have obsessive compulsive disorder. So, I do a few things each day to keep up with the daily housework. I generally do most of the big things Monday through Thursday. Then Friday through Sunday there are just odds and ends light things. That way the weekend is open for relaxing and fun things. If only I could twitch my nose and all would be done.

I spread chores throughout the week, as I see they need to be done. I have no particular schedule. Certain ones are easier done when I have a full day off, naturally. I would never do all on a day when I have worked long hours. I don't work well when I am that tired.

i think it's better to spread the chores over the whole week than doing things at one go.
