i am doing both cooking and mylotting at this moment now. i was so preoccupied reading and sharing with the dicussions. then i smelled my rice, luckily though it is still ok for eating. glad it was only rice i was cooking now. isn't it quite sad when we cooked anything then burn it then completely lost the taste we've tried to perfect. have you burnt any recently?

NEVER Cook & myLot at the Same Time!!! - I absolutely cannot cook & myLot at the same time. So, I have to STOP myLotting in order to cook. Then I myLot & eat at the same time!!!
I don't allow myself to do myLot & cook at the same time. I make myself STOP myLot while I cook. I myLot & eat at the same time. But I am NOT allowed to cook while I myLot. That is MY rule!!!

i am sure your mother was so pissed. rice price just escalated the recente months. next time, if your watching tv and cooking, just set it to low flame. that's what i started doing after the incident. thanks pimagro!

hi dare2fail, my dear friend,, i have also burnt while i was on internet. but i was not mylotting. i was studying something and was so much into the subject that i just forgot what i have done in kitchen or what i was cooking. suddenly my door bell rang for the post and when i went for that i rushed to the kitchen and realised that my milk , which i have kept for boil on slow, is all finished. only the utensil was left by GOD'S grace. and the whole area was smelling but my nose couldn't even smell as i was so much into studying that my sense organs were alll closed. :-)

hi aweins. you are very focused then. to be able to close all the other senses, whew. did you practice it or your profession just requires it? now, don't go too serious with your internet, the milk costs a fortune now.

I almost burnt my pizza the other night when I was on Mylot. Thank god I got it out just in time...I guess i better pay closer attention to the time. Maybe starting using the clock on the computer even.

and set an alarm too. that's one meal many would be crying over for. i guess many mylotters experienced the same. when i try to multitask and one of them being mylot, i tend to neglect the other things i was supposed to do. the dishes even.

Funny you should ask... In fact it was last Wednesday while I was posting. I was cooking pork chops and like you, RICE!!! Well I burned the rice only on the bottom. The burnt layer just stayed in the pan and the rest turned out just fine. No burnt taste at all, it was yummy!

just perfect for rice-loving people like us. just remembered now, i once burned my pot all the way inside out. therice turned out to be tiny little grainy coals. you see, i left my stove open the whole day i was gone working. the bad thing, i wasted what i cooked. the good thing, i still use the pot, i was able to clean it. the bonus, i didn't burn the house, yey!!! so much for my burning!

I wasn't on Mylot, but I was on another site when my beans almost got burnt. Luckily, I was able to salvage them. I don't like to waste food, even cheap food like beans.
