A friend is a tissue when you can’t stop crying A friend is a shoulder when you feel like dying A friend always listens when you have something to say A friend is a week when you just need a day A friend is a crutch when you have a broken heart A friend is some glue when everything falls apart A friend is a sun when the rain just won’t stop A friend is your mom when you run into a cop A friend is a phone call when you can’t leave your home A friend is a hand when you feel all alone A friend is a wing if you want to fly A friend understands without knowing why A friend is an ear for a secret to tell A friend is an aspirin when your head hurts like hell A friend is a love that can never let go A friend is you, and I wanted you to know

Wow mayka,the last letters in your name if your prononounced in tamil its give the meaning of sister you know. so you call me as friend as well. A great slogan on friendship and i think you are becoming a great writer of peoms...we need you here friend and happy mylotting

What a wonderful wonderful piece of poem. It is really awesome and says lot about friends and friendship. Friends are an integral part of our life and one cannot live life to the fullest without dear friends. I wish I could have replied in a poetic manner but I write such a beautiful poem..........LOL!

Oh your such a cool poet , you are seriously good in writing such things , why cant you publish it some where , you will get good feed back .. so your is mayur and your daughter is kavitha.. , nice kavitha means poem in our language.. hope she will also grow like her mom :) GOD BLESS

Hi mayka, I just read all your poems on Associated Content and they were so beautiful! They broke my heart! I am so sorry to hear of your loss and I feel your pain. I am so sad that you lost your love. Your writing came from your heart and is real and is beautiful. I too write poetry and it is from my heart and it shows the pain that I had at the time that I had written it. I too feel very sad that I have lost my beloved. But I just dwell on the wonderful times we have had together and hope that we may meed one day in heaven.....I have to keep myself busy because I have to look after my dear daughter...she is too young to be looking after herself still. Glad to know we are friends ! is this your own composition? It is a good one, really, great composition. A good definition of a real friend that is. I hope and wish we could be real friends, like seeing each other in person as well. I will keep a copy on this myself. Thanks for posting this.
