Open a shop anywhere in the world and sell anything that you wanted too, what sort of shop would you open and where would you open it? This comes from a dream that I have that one day I would go and live in a beautiful seaside town that I have been to a few times in the UK. I would open a shop in the town by the sea and sell lots of lovely gifts and things like that! All at affordable prices and all the things that people normally buy when they go on holiday! I wonder if I will ever do it!! How about you?

Owning your own shop would be an awesome career. You can make your own hours and have lots of income if you do it right. I've often thought about opening a business here in my town. I once thought of opening a little diner and making some homecooked food, but I'm not sure that would make much money in my small town. There is a pizza place, the grocery store serves hot foods for lunch, and there are a few different restaurants in the town 5 minutes away. However a movie theater may work. The closest movie theater to my town is 15 minutes away. If I did one here in town it may make some money. I even thought about making it a cheap theater. Like show movies that are no longer in the major theaters. We have like 3 or 4 theaters in the entire city (most being 30 mins away) that show movies as soon as they're out of theaters, and the cost is like $2. I think something like that would draw a good crowd here in my little town.

It certainly would be a good career, we went on holiday to this place and there was a few shops for sale right in the centre, the sea just across the road. The town was really busy and I just thought it would be perfect. Your idea sounds pretty cool you know if you could get all the movies at the right price it would probably be a good thing, our town does not have one either and the closest ones are a fair way away so something like that would work here too.

I used to dream about a shoe store for kids, then I dreamed about a video store, and I still like that idea, now I am thinking of a little dollar store either. But I really would never do any of it. I want to continue writing and therefore I would be opening a publishing house if I could.

I would actually open up my metaphysical shop. Where would I place it?? Here in my own city. Since i'm in Bible Belt country, it would be hard but there are other religions here than just Christian, and those religions need a place to go buy the items they need, also.

I like your ideas very much, i do think of that too. If really have chance, i were to open a gift shops nearby beach and sell local or handmade souvenirs to tourists or visitors. But frankly, i do feel that the business will not able to allow big return of investment or earn good money. I would prefer that once i am retired as i believe that kind of business not really can help me to secure my current lifestyle but it do allow me to maintain my living requirements when i am old. Living happily ever after with my family during my old time.

I would open a shop in Sydney in Australia because it is my favorite city in the world. It would sell crystals from many different countries. I would go on buying trips to lots of different places. I would also sell gifts like postcards and gifts hand made in Australia for tourists. Then I would enjoy meeting and talking to people from all over the world. I like your idea of a shop by the sea in the UK and I hope that your dream will come true one day.

There are many shops that I have wanted to have. One is a book shop with a cafe. Another is a toy shop with toys that aren't sold in places like Walmart. I would also like an educational store. I have always loved school supplies and I love to go in to those stores that are nothing but learning tools and books. I am not sure where I would open up a shop though. A beach town would be fun and I would like to live in a place like that. Though the shop would probably be seasonal in that case and would have to cater to the type of surroundings it is in.

My answer has already been taken a few times so I guess I'd have lots of competition LOL. I would love to have a book store. Most likely a used book store where I could buy and sell them at prices everyone can afford. I would open it as close to my home as possible so if I had to be there long hours my family could stop in whenever they needed me.

I would do the same thing you would want, except my store would be in Key West, Florida, which is my mom's hometown. I've always felt very comfortable there and totally stress-free, plus I still have some relatives there. I'd also have items from local artists, maybe work out something to sell their items in my shop, for some of the profit, and for those of age a free Margarita with your purchase. Wow it's sure nice to dream!

It is nice to dream, I guess that dreams can come true sometimes if we really want them badly enough. Here's hoping anyway.

If I was given that opportunity I would like to open a shop selling native products made from Philippines which is my homeland. Most products there are truly hand made. There are lot of products of Philippines which people all over the world felt very amaze how it was done. I am proud of it. By doing that, it is not just a way of promoting what my homeland have, but also helping my fellow Filipino to earn. The more products I sell, the more Filipino I help to earn and have job.

Handmade products are the best, I think that they are a lot better than things that are not. They contain that personal element too because they have had time put into them to make them.

I thinks i would like to open a restaurant near the ones on the Greece beach that we visited this year, or perhaps just a shop (if you are only referring to shops) because i think it would be so lovely to stay there all summer and have 1 ore more employs to help. If i can continue with the restaurant option - let's say i would like to serve some of the food from time to time to my customers and to treat them really good.

Restaurant fits in, I think that sounds great. Running a restaurant would be way too hard for me, working in one was enough!

That is an awesome dream! I would open an antique store, but I'm not quite sure where. One possibility would be in the Great Smokey Mountains. I love that area, and would love to live there! Great topic!

If I could open a shop, I'd open my very own bookshop! I'd sell books, all kinds of books. I would want my bookshop to be something like Borders....hmm, if I could, I might just buy up the whole of Borders! Haha! As to where I'd open my shop, I think I'll just open it right here in my country, Malaysia. I really want to encourage reading among my fellow country people so I'd welcome everyone to come and buy books from my shop. Besides that, I could also make sure that I have bookshops selling good books in rural areas. The books could be sold at reasonable prices or something. Or maybe I'd just open up a library in rural areas. That's if I'm a millionaire. I like your shop idea too. Well, if you do open up your seaside shop and if I ever set foot in the UK, I'll try to visit it too. :D

I would love to open a specialty shop. My only problem would be figuring out how to set it up. I would have a ferrets only pet shop, with all the cool stuff I can never find! I would also want to have separate special needs kids stuff. It's so hard to judge if you want a product just by looking online, especially with the cost of things. I would try to have all the cool little things, like fidget toys, all the way up to the insanely expensive swing stands. Another section would be books. Of course plenty of ferret books, parenting special needs kids, and just because books. I've always had a dream of opening up a special needs playplace. It would have accomodate all ages, and needs. I would have the option to "hire" a place sitter for parents with mulitple kids. This would be so when mothers like me, with 2 special needs kids, can go in and play with one child while I know the other one is safe. It's so scary trying to watch both of them when they're hyper. It would also accomodate kids who are physically fine, but very hyper or have serious sensory issues. I would want an occupational therapist, physical therapist, psychologist, speech therapist, and special education teacher on staff, or volunteer some time. My place sitters would all be in school for something geared towards special needs children. I know this sounds extreme, but it would be so cool.

gemini rose if I had a chance to see anything I wanted I 'would have a book shop with prices that suited everyone, and a place to sit and read, and a place to have a snack. I would have a whole section for would be authors to meet agents and other authors who could help them to get published. I would also have a small school for unpublished writers that would really help them to get publishes. that is mydream if I had all the nomey I needed.lol

I would definitely open my own magic shop and have magicians from all over the country or from all over the world visit my shop and maybe perform there for free.I would like to sell locally made magic supplies so that many would be inspired to do magic because they could surely afford it. Also I would like to hold an open night in that shop wherein there will be five or ten people who would perform there every Friday or Saturday Night for free. Anyone could perform as long as they have preregistered. I hope I could get to open that shop here someday.
