If you were given a chance to foresee your future, would you like to see it?

Hello, guyz, just wondering now what you would do if there's a chance given to you, like for instance, suddenly you given a choice that you'll be able to see your future, will you grasp that opportunity and see it? Will you feel curious with it? And what will you do if ever you choose to see it and the future you see are not the things that you like to happen? Or you just ignore the chance and not to choose to see your future? As for me, I think I'll choose not to see it. I think it's better for me not to see my future, and yeah, I admit, I feel scared to see it, quite anxious that perhaps it may not good or not the future that I wanted. And if it is bad, I think it may truly affect me, I might feel depressed and disappointed if my future is not good, however, if I choose to see it, I may have a chance to change it. Either way, seeing my future, will affect me greatly, so I rather choose not to see it. How about you guys? What would you do? Good day.

Very interesting question in this discussion of yours.. (^_^ ) If given the chance to see something about my future, there would be certain things that one should consider. Let's say that we saw our future and it wasn't pleasing, not necessarily terrible but, wasn't what we expected or really do want to end up in the future.. So, we change ourselves for the better to avoid that future to occur. Then, if we see a very satisfying future, we are now given another quandary. Would we continue to be what we have been doing thus far so that such a satisfying future that we glimpsed ahead would really occur or try even harder to improve ourselves so that we'd even get a far more better future than what we were given a chance to see? The problem with knowing something significant that will happen later on in our lives is that it becomes a determinant factor that we either avoid or pursue. It could be a good thing or it could also be a bad thing for some. Given the choice to see what I might end up in the future, not necessarily specifying if it would be about my career or other things regarding relationships with people I interact with, I might as well choose to see.. be it bad or good, whatever it might be in my life. (^_^ )

If its a bad future, we do everything we can to avoid it.. unless, its really inevitable.. if its a good future, we just have to do everything necessary to make it a reality. I mean, seeing what the future holds already influences the changes that the future might turn into.. Your quite welcome (^_^ )

thanks. yeah, all of that are quite the possible effects if ever we choose to see it or not, very well said on it. hmm, that's very brave of you, you are kinda prepared for whatever future will brings you, very admiring. Anyway, thanks for sharing your opinion and the nice explanation, interesting to read it.

I will rather not see my future ^_^ BEcause i might end up changing my future to the way i want, or even worse, seeing myself with a good future when i'm just idling around.. NO matter what, we will surely get complacent if we were to see our future, and that, it's bound to affect our present for sure.. ANd when we affect ourselves, we will affect the others in some way or other, which is not good.. Thus, i will not wanna see my future and tempt myself to do all the wrong things in the present stage ^_^

Hi! Yeah, you're quite right, like your opinion about it, that's another possibility that we might do if ever we saw the future. Thanks for sharing your opinion about this, really appreciate it.

When i was younger... i desperately wanted to see my future... but now that i am a little bit older... i would decline that chance... since i believe that we create our own destiny with the choices we make... so whatever it is that i will see... that will change since i choose the path where i want to go to...

Same here, I am quite like that too when I was a kid, I really like to see my future, but now, I rather not to see it. Like what you said, about "we create our own destiny with the choices we make" very well said, that's what I believe too. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this, good day

ello. it would be very tempting to see the future. very tempting. if i'd be given the chance to have the gift, i'd like to see the future with zero influence to the present. it wouldn't be called life if everything is mapped and planned. what makes our lives worth living is the thought that the point from now to the next minute is unexpected. no one knows what the future brings. =) have a nice day

yea, it is very tempting, hmm, yeah, like what you said, it is really not that good if you know what will happened in our future, just like you said, life will be more enjoying if it isn't predictable. Thanks for sharing your opinion about this, really appreciate it.

I will choose not to see. Remember the saying curiosity killed the cat. :) Your are right it would affect us greatly if we can see. And the future regularly changes whatever decisions we make today so even if i see it, the decisions I would be making could change what I saw. Quesera sera whatever would be, would be, the future's not ours to see....

Hi kylie-quistis, if I were to be given the chance to see my future, I think most probably I would say: no, thank you. Like reading science fiction or detective story book. I usually will read it page by page and enjoy every exciting climax of the story as well as how it going on. I dislike knowing the end of the story by reading the last page as some of my friends usually do while reading. Everyday seems so fresh, exciting and full of challenging to me as I don’t know what would happen the next moment. posting and have a great day.

I do not think that I would like to see my future. This is because I know that I would not be able to change it if I know it in advance. If I cannot change it then there is no point in seeing it. If it is going to be good future for me then, let is come to me as a routine or even as a surprise. If I know something in advance, then the curiosity about is over and that leave no charm of that thing which may be very good thing for me. If it is not good for me then also I cannot do anything about it. So better not to see it.

I think... I'll refuse to see my future though it is exciting to guest what happen next. if people can really see the future then you can not say it's life because life become meaningful if you don't know what happen next. i prefer to plan my future than to peep on it..

I would rather not want to see my future. I'd rather wait to see what happens and have it happen when it happens. Seeing my future, would most likely scare me then anything.

I would choose not to see it. Not that I'm not curious and don't want to, but I believe that I shouldn't. If the future can be seen, whatever that I can see in it should be left for the future to experience. If it's something good, I'd rather have some elements of surprise when it happens, if it's something horrible and inevitable, I'd rather live happily until I have to come face to face with it in reality. If the future can be changed, what you see isn't your future after you see it as you'd probably try to change it somehow, which probably leads to even more mistakes. If the future can't be changed, why risk your life seeing and experiencing the same thing (might not be a good thing) twice? That's what I think.
