Have you ever thought that maybe what you picked out to where today was influenced somehow by the mood you were in when rolled outta bed?I wear alot of neutral, earthtone colours myself..does that say something about me or my mood do ya think?Thinking about each colour, how does each one make you feel, or what does it represent to you?Red -- represent sexuality to me, i think of red, i think of satin sheets and wine. Makes me feel frisky Green -- represents nature, i think of earth/khaki tonesand hiking. Makes me feel grounded and relaxed Blue -- represents confusion to me cause everytime i think of it, i cant figure out what it makes me think of;) Purple -- My all time favourite colour..i get alot of mixed feelings about this colour, it represents many things for me Black -- represents darkness, sadness, S&M. Makes me feel stangely aroused White -- represents purity, when i think of it, i definately dont think of myself;). Makes me feel calm Yellow -- HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY..i think of the sunshine and flowers, yellow definatley makes me feel happy Brown -- well..pretty much the same as green Grey -- a little less aroused then black LOL Orange -- did i mention there were orange flowers in my garden too? orange is pretty much the same as yellow ok..your turn..what is your rainbow made up of?

i love the lighter colours in spring and fall, the pastels are nice..ok, all but pink..i just cant do the colour pink :) i like the natural tones more in the fall, haha, like to blend with my surroundings LOL Funny, i am not super fond of the colour red, mind you its my moms fav colour... however, i do find that a red dress just does something on a woman (yes i am female)

When I was responding to some other discussion "what is the colour that represents you", I answered him black and green are my favourite and I want my life to be as black and green and I am not bothering about the meaning. Now I can find about the colour indication. Now I don't know what to answer. I may say I want all colours in my life but, my rainbow made up of black and green only. I feel these colours shows the same effect as they mention.

I don't know if I believe that or not but back in the late 70s and early 80s there was a big pop-psychology movement that had lots of schools, mental hospitals and prisons painting rooms in pastel colors because it was supposed to have a calming effect. Personally, I never noticed it making a difference when I was in school... the kids who acted up still acted up and it took just as long to calm them down if they threw tantrums.

Unfortunately i cant remember the big 'pop psychology' movement. Perhaps they should have tried padded walls instead ;) I do remember however one of the schools in Toronto experimenting with something along the same lines..I am not sure what the outcome was however. I agree that perhaps colours cant always calm or change behaviour, haa wouldnt that be nice if it could though. On the same note though, i do think that sometimes colours can influence how you feel. I know if i sit in a gloomy room with not much colour i get edgy quicker..however, if i am around colour i tend to have more energy and feel more..umm...happy i guess :) If i am already kicking and screaming though, i dont think the colours would do much help thank you for your comment by the way :)

I've always like colors and i envy those who are bold enough to combine/match them. I do not associate color with a particular mood or definition but when I see a red wall, a yellow re-painted car or a violet roof, i feel happy because someone was bold enough to use the color they want. I have a self-superstition, though (if there is such a word :-). I believe that when I wear red for the day, I would get caught up in a situation. Like, i would be called for a class recitation. Thus, when I was in school, i avoid wearing red when i knew i have not studied well before class. I wear red when i think i have studied enough and feeling confident. That belief of mine had never proved me wrong. Weird huh? Power of the mind? :-) Have a nice day!
