Are you a do-it-yourselfer, or do you hire a professional? If i use my brain somewhat i can figure things out but now i'm going to have to get some new pipe cause i have a leak under my sink..whoops!

Oh, Rosekitty, I'm a total do-it-your-selfer!!! I have a leak under my sink too! And I just bought some Mighty Putty to fix it and the hubs did attempt to fix the problem, and he's got it at least partially solved, but I think we're gonna need a lil bit more of that Mighty Putty! Thank god for Target! A mere bus ride away. Onward and upward. Or sideways. Or crossways. Um hmm.

Yup I most certainly am a do-it-yourselfer. In August I had finally gotten my new captain's bed...one that you had to assemble yourself. It actually recommended two people to assemble it, but I managed to do it all by my little loney. Heehee

I repair what I can but I know what I'm incapable of and will call a professional. I have a pipe in the basement that I tried to fix and it still leaks so I'll have to call someone soon before I use my furnace.

It really depends on what it is. The roof was covered by insurance so we hired a professional when we had to have it fixed. Most things we do ourselves, like painting, flooring, plumbing. However, Barry has a friend he grew up with that does electrical so we call him for that if it's a major job. When I was much younger I hung sheetrock and gyprock. I also did some carpet and tile work. We have been painting the outside of the house. Most of it is done. This winter we have some inside work to do. We will be reframing a wall and putting up sheetrock. Then next Spring we will do some more outside work like redoing the floor on the front porch. The hardest part is we sometimes end up arguing. He doesn't have a lot of patience. Blessings, Carolyn

I try to fix things myself. Sometimes it works, sometimes I need a professional to fix up what I fixed I do use a hammer, not a high heel, in case you are wondering

I'm not good with handwork but will attempt to fix something easy but if it's plumbing work and stuff, I wouldn't even know where to start. I wouldn't mind learning though!

Hi Rosekitty, I usually find that I ened up doing most things myself, the last time I moved the removals men were impressed that I had already disconnected the washing machine and cooker and done for me the other end bless. I have laid carpet, fixed cars, put shelfs up, attempted a bit of plumbing. The las time I asked for help from a professional was my last carpet as it was stairs landing and lounge so too big a task for me to attempt to do. It was worth the £96 they charged for fitting, it took them 2 hours, it would have taken me the whole day and more. Huggles. Ellie :D

No way! I am definitely not a do-it-yourselfer! My first line of defense is to seek professional help....for everything...starting with cleaning the house....lol

Hi Rosekitty, I try to fix as many things as I can. But, it depends on what is broken. When it comes to plumbing or anything electrical no way! I call the management and have them do it! There are certain things I will try to fix and those are the 2 I will not touch! Leaks under the sink and pipes are a no way for me! Way to dangerous for kittys! I think you should leave that for the pros! Kittys don't do well with pipes, they only like to lick the little drippys!Hugz from Opalkitty-

I AM a do-it-yourselfer! There are things like plumbing and electrical stuff that I will have someone else come in and do, but for the most part, if something needs to be done around here, I will do it myself. I kind of like the fact that the tools in the garage are MINE, and that I can do most of the things around here that need to be done.
