I finally connected with the people who want an informational writer,

I got the contact through a myLot alert.Actually I am supposed to be paid for my first assignment today, and then I have a second assignment, due this evening sometime. It involves research, is on a particular topic, and has to use certain words. I like doing it, and we will see how well it pays. Where do you write, for money? I have myLot, Gather, and this freelance work and I have one Hub so far at HubPages and some content on Helium. I have signed up with Triond, and Associated Content but have not submitted there.

Well done. I have just learned how to write content with keywords and I quite like doing it, if it on a subject which interests me that I'll enjoy researching. I am expecting some nice extra payments in my Helium account today, from the Summer Reward-athon and from the Writer's Stimulus Package. That bonus will be even better than I had last month, when I had just got my second writing star. Right now I have three writing stars, but the third one came just too late, after the Reward-athon closed, so those articles will only pay on two stars! I'm still writing for the Marketplace at Helium. My last article was bought for $24, and payment for the articles I sold last month will be in my PayPal on the 10th.

I need to get over there more often, because I know I can do the writing. Same for the other mentioned sites. It may mean less time on MyLot, though. Is there a particular place you learned about writing with keywords? This freelance work, they give me the key words, I do not have to figure it out at all. I do not currently have a writing star on Helium.

paid2write, can you help me out with those keywords. I know what they're there for, but I can't seem to start off with the article. Maybe its because of the main topic. I was assigned to write about POPCORN MACHINES, something I know nothing about except that they pop corn kernels and they're found in some restaurants and of course the movie houses.

I think I learned about keywords at Helium, in the forum and by reading Helium articles on the subject. One of the publishers in the Marketplace gives keywords to use in assignments, so I tried writing articles with the reguired words, and they sold!

Ah.. So you took the job at jrholdings. Am I right? That's the mylot alert. So its not scam? I did receive that mylot alert before but never visited the site or contacted them. Not everybody during that time received the mylot alert so I was afraid it could be a fake one.

Yes, I contacted rjholdings. I know of at least four times that the alert has been sent out. Different people every time. I contacted them three times, but I had only received the alert personally the last time. I believe they are very professional, and they said they will pay me today. They say that they pay on the first of every month. They are very particular about what they want, but it was something I could easily do. I am expecting to be paid in PayPal today. I do not think myLot would have sent out the alerts if there was any chance that this was a scam.

Good for you, I never did get back in touch with the people. I have been so busy with my ebay stuff. I have been kickin some butt, woohoo. I haven't even found the time to get my butt over to Gather, that is on my list of things to do. This week I am trying to get my house in order, I will be gone for a couple of weeks. I am going on a road trip with my mom to see my sister. We are going to Virginia, I am in Ohio. There doesn't seem to be enough hours in a day to do all the stuff I want to. I don't have much time here on mylot neither. I mostly just respond to a few thru my email. Thats just to keep in touch and also relaxing, visiting time. Take care and good luck.

I have never really gotten set up to do Ebay, or etsy, yet. I know what you mean. Of course I would rather burn out than rust out. I am never bored, that is for sure. When are you leaving?

Okay, they are two different alerts. The scam is Mylot.myhostia.com This company does not pretend to be MyLot, it is rjholdings@yahoo.com. I am waiting to see if I did indeed get paid for that first article, before I finish my second one. These people did have an actual writing assignment, with a niche, sub pages, alternate words, key words, etc.

They have not sent me to a website. I have e mailed back and forth to them a number of times. They did pay me today. $7 for 1500 words. They did not set the lenghth, that is just what I wrote. I know that is not a lot, but it is generally more than what people are getting from AC. I enjoyed the research. It was about a common every day thing, as is the second one I am working on.The pay came through Wasingertech, just like MyLot does.

I also joined that freelance informational article thing. i'm working on my assignment. But I have to say, I am having a hard time. Maybe you can help me, it is about something I know nothing about. I would like to request for another assignment, something that is more of my interest. I don't want to seem demanding but I think I would be able to work better and faster if the topics given to me is something that I am familiar with, because I have access to those information. But I guess I should try this first, I will gain new info because of the research it requires. Was your first assignment a breeze, or you started out clueless like me?

I spent quite a bit of time researching. It was not a breeze. I have my second article in process and will turn it in today. I got $7 for the first article, which is more than any of the other sites have paid me so far. I wrote 1500 words. I will use the research, break it into shorter articles, edit it and publish more articles that are not identical to the first on other sites.

Wow, I can't wait to finish this project... i'm starting on it right now, I got a clearer idea of what and how to write it, I even put the requirements in a folder, so I could compile the articles I write. Wish me luck.

Just Helium and Mylot right now. I'm signed up at Hubpages, but I haven't done anything with it. I need other writing avenues, esp. for income. Let us know how this goes today,OK?

I certainly will. I think that what finally worked was that I told them I had content out there already and where. Everything I join, I have Garden Gerty as the signup or user name, a choice I have made to make myself more searchable. At Helium, though, you have to look for Helen E. Hartz, I believe. Not my real name. I believe that Garden Gerty is my user name there, though.

I'm writers edge as many places as I can, but some places the name was taken already. I think they didn't let me use it at Hubpages. It was long enough ago,I don't remember. That's bad,I'll have trouble signing in. Take care

I try to write everything down like passwords etc. in a book I have named "My Brain" It is handy. I also frequently e mail that info to myself and put it in a folder called passwords. I can take my brain with me when I travel.

Associated Content has been good to me but I've abandoned Triond. I guess I should check in over there. I received a MyLot alert for writing assignments but I've never received any work. Mmmm, am I missing something? How's HubPages working out for you. I think I signed up but haven't done anything there. Anyway, keep writing GG.

I am with Hubpages for the past 7 months and have around 65 articles written so far. I have a series of articles on gemstone, rudraksha, hindu religion etc. You can check my profile by visiting my profile page here. Best of luck with your writing assignments.

Triond is still my favorite, with Associate Content a close second, but I do also like Squidoo quite a bit.

I still have not published there, any of them. I think about a year ago I signed up for Squidoo, but never even went back. I will get this writing discipline going sooner or later.

I did get paid, some thought it would be a scam. I will do several articles this month, and I know they will pay me. If I do a lot of research, well, then I learn something that I can use elsewhere as well. The discipline is good for me.

I saw that alert but I didn't contact them. I hope they paid you today. I post here. I have written at Associated Content and for Review Stream. I have photos posted on Triond. I think I have some links in my profile to some of my stuff but not all of it. I signed up for Helium a long time ago but never did anything with it. I think I may have signed up for Gather too. I didn't do anything there either. I am not sure how either site works.

Several people have suggested Review Stream. I think I need to set aside "work time" daily for my writing sites.I will probably sign up with them. My husband is convinced I could actually replace my outside income with online earnings, but he thinks I need the outside stimulation to be happy. Probably right. The freelance job I got here came because of an alert from MyLot saying that some of their partners wanted writers to write informative topics. I attempted contact three times, and finally got an assignment. Completed my first one, and should get paid via PayPal today. I have another assignment to get done today. There is usually a two day deadline, it involves some research, partnered with my own creativity and their SEO words.

I am just a newbie in blogging and online writing and I am still finding my way around. I know I write and can do research pretty well. I'm getting my leads here as to where I should join. I'm still pretty hesistant to sign up especially because I've heard of so many scam sites who don't pay for the articles and reviews. Anyway, I'm learning so much from you guys. I've just signed up with Helium and HubPages and I'll be checking out Triond and Associated Content later. Thanks!
