A better disguise?

James Coldwell employed a unique ruse to rob a New Hampshire bank: Police say he taped tree branches and leaves to his body to disguise himself during the heist. Amazingly, someone was able to recognize Coldwell in the surveillance tape that police released. http://www.trutv.com/shows/tsg_presents/land_of_stupid_gallery.html If you look at the picture you can clearly see him. Could you have come up with something better? lol

Makes you wonder how much planning he actually did.

I think that's hilarious...Maybe he needed thicker leaves LOL I think if I was going to go for a bank robbery I'd choose the most outrageous outfit...something Martin Lawarance would do...I loved it's outfits in Big Mama's House and several other movies...you really couldn't tell it was him. Well there was even a duck tape bandit on the news once who covered his face with duck tape. I don't think I would have used branches and leaves. Maybe a mask. They seem harder to trace especially if you get one that is used alot by others. I guess the best time to rob a store or bank would be during Halloween time since they are so many costumes sold and used and untraceable most times.

I think my 20 month old daughter could have come up with a better disguise than that. That guy is a moron if he though no one would be able to tell who he was.

Now, it seems to me that Coldwell was a little insane. Ok, probably more than just a little. Obviously, there is something wrong with a person who thinks that tapping a few branches to himself serves as a disguise. I don't know exactly how I feel about this. One the one hand he is a crook. On the other, he is probably mentally dysfunctional. Not that mental problems excuse theft, but if this guy only got to this point in his life because society didn't recognize his problems and act to help him, then it seems to be -- on some level -- also society's fault.
