Edy's has a pumpkin ice cream, it tastes like pumpkin pie with a lot of nutmeg.

I went to Price Chopper last weekend and a demonstrator was giving out little tiny one bite sample cups of Edy's pumpkin ice cream. It was really heavy with nutmeg. Do you think you would like this ice cream? Why or why not?

Considering that I love Spice pumpkim latte from starbucks, I will give the pumpkim ice cream a try too. If it tastes like pumpkim pie, that it is even better as I love that pie.

I've never had a pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks. Sounds delicious. So I really couldn't tell you. But I love pumpkin pie, cookies, cake, bread, and I absolutely love ice cream! Thanks for responding and take care.

I'm not into making pie crust, but the filling, I make pumpkin pudding. Give that a try, you'll be hooked and making that a lot. Same as pumpkin pie, just no crust and a shorter cooking time.

A friend of mine told me that Edy's had a pumpkin pie ice cream out! I so badly want to try it. I love pumpkin flavored things! My husband and I recently discovered Pumpkin Ale and it's delicious! I would definitely give this ice cream a try. Can't seem to find it at my local grocery store though.

It might be a "near Halloween" thing only. It might have been an experiment in some places and it either sold and they kept doing it or didn't sell and they stopped. So try looking again in October and on different days in the stores near you. Thanks for the response, take care and happy pumpkin eating!

I do not know if I would like Edy's. Braum's comes out with pumpkin or pumkin pie, or pumpkin custard, I am not sure which, but I really enjoy it as long as they have it in the store. I also like the egg nog flavor that they bring out.

I had actually thought about just putting my favorite eggnog in a home icecream freezer. It makes sense as well. They also do a candy cane flavor or peppermint, that is different from the usual mint ice creams. I will have to write about it when they come out this year.

Egg nog flavor, really? I was thinking one day that I would really, really like an egg nog ice cream. After all, I love French Vanilla, so it just stands to reason. . ..

I will have to look at wal-mart and see if they sell this brand and see what size the container is. I am thinking that Edy's ice cream is in small pint size containers. I like my ice cream in larger size like 1/2 gallons I think it is or quarts. I'm not sure exactly what the size of ice cream is that I buy but its in a rectangle shaped carton. I love everything to do with pumpkin so I really do think I would like this. I wish I had been at price chopper that day to get the free sample! I am sure if I had liked it I would have bought it right there in the store! I am going to have a halloween playgroup and this would be yummy for a treat for the moms and kids. My daughter would love it to I'm sure and it would be a yummy treat for the both of us to share. Each day we do something different this month that is halloween related so this could be something fun for one of those days.

This was in a good sized container, it was round, but not small like pint or cup. It was more like quart or gallon. Boxes, the large ones are usually half gallon which is the same as two quarts. You sound like a really, really fun Mom. Bet you and your daughter will have a great time. Our SuperWalmart has lots of kinds of ice cream, not sure if they carry Edys or not. Take care and have fun!

I don't know if I would lkke it like I do rocky road or moosetracks, but I do like pumpkin and nutmeg..Sounds like it would be rich and so maybe just a little at a time..I will have to try it if they have it in the area..

Ironically I just got done replying to a post abut hot cocoa and how, though I love choclate bars, chocolate cookies, chocolate cake, I hate hot chocolate..I have tried drinking it and just really don't like it..But when it comes to ice cream, yep, love my chocolate there too.. I am going to tell my husband about this, and hopefully he remembers to look for it when he is out..

I really like Pumpkin Pie so I might like it. I've had Edy's ice cream a few times over the years and it was really good but it's usually high dollar so I don't get that often. I usually get Highland or Blue Bunny. I love alot of the Blue Bunny flavors. ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS**

Hi Twoey, I likr Breyers, but big price tag there, too. Sometimes Edys goes on sale or there is a coupon and a person can afford that way. That's how I usually get Breyers. Thanks for your response & happy ice cream eating.

I probably would not select Pumpkin Ice cream, if I were shopping for ice cream. However, if I got to taste it, I think I would probably like it. I tend to go with the more basic flavors of ice cream when I buy it. I don't buy it all that much, but when I do, I buy reduced fat. It's usually either vanilla (because we can top it with chocolate sauce, strawberries, or other things) or orange sherbet. I guess sherbet isn't really ice cream but it's pretty similar.

Try honey on top of ice cream, really, really good. Gets gooey and hardens, so only a little at a time. Tried reduced fat, it's like ice milk. Doesn't do much for me. Sherbert is OK when I'm in the mood. Usually has tons of fake coloring in it though. Yeah, I think unless a person tastes it, probably not a flavor people would go to a store to get. Thanks and take care.

We lost our IHOP. I wish I had recipes for all the pancakes they made that I loved. My husband and I used to go, but they couldn't keep a cook and had problems.

I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVEEEE pumpkin flavored things. that is one of my favorite things about this time of year. Everything comes out in pumpkin flavor. If there is a Jeramiah's italian icey place anywhere near you. i'm not sure where they are located but they are here in Florida, i REALLY REALLY recommend the pumpkin flavor. And they can swirl it with vanilla soft serve. omg.... DELISH!

I love, love pumpkin flavored ice cream. It is such a treat and a contrast from a warm piece of pie! We actually just had some in the house last week:)

That's neat, I had never had pumpkin ice cream. I think I would like to make my own now, without so much nutmeg. Yes, ice cream is wonderful with pie. Thanks and take care.
