For those of you who have been following some of my discussions, I am doing the Susan G Komen 3-Day walk this weekend. I'll be walking 60 miles in 3 days. I think I'm ready, although I know I'll be pretty sore when it's all said and done. My shoes finally arrived yesterday and they feel very good. I still have to pack some things and do laundry tomorrow night. I have to be up at around 3:30am Friday to drive down to the starting place - it takes about an hour or a little longer to get there and I'm picking up another walker on the way. We have to be checked in by 6:30 and we'll start walking around 8am.
Friday is about 22 miles, Saturday is around 22.5 miles and Sunday is the short day with around 15.5 miles. I hope I've done enough training!!!!

Thanks!!! Definitely keep an eye out for my discussions on Monday. I'm taking a small notepad and pencil with me to jot things down or I'll forget them :)

Good for you, and good luck. Compared to you, my weekend is easy. I would have been worried not having the shoes sooner. I do not know if I could do that long a walk. You must be in really good shape.

I don't know about really good shape, but I am used to walking. I've walked about 3 miles a day for the last 12 years or so. In the past 6 months I've increased some of it - on the weekends I would walk 5-11 miles at a time.
I love my shoes and they fit so well there's really no "breaking in". I'm sure you'll hear all about the weekend come Monday.

They just had a similiar walk here last week.
3 days and 60 miles.

Grandpa Bob, they've got them all over the country and some women will travel and do more than one. I can't do that, but I am going to do next years also. My profile has a link to the main site and you can check them out. I think there are some places - Arizona maybe - that have them as late as November.
