Well seems like Grey's Anatomy fans have been shortchanged after a wonderful 2 hour season opener, we are being robbed of our show this week due to the Vice Presidential Debate. Grrrr! I for one think they should hold the debate at a later time, more like 9 pm than 8 pm. I guess they get dibs on prime time. I was so ready to get back into the show but new we have to wait another week. I think I may be grumpy tomorrow. Pout! So what would you *rather* watch--the debate or Grey's Anatomy? We can take a poll, although I don't think it will do any good in getting results...LOL!

The debate is going to get the spot where ratings would be the highest. I understand that doesn't mean more people will vote, but everyone that chooses to vote needs to be informed of the issues facing the United States.

Oh I would much rather watch Grey's anatomy. I watched ugly Betty and then I got on here. I don't follow politics at all. next week's grey's looks good though! i can't wait to see where all that water is coming from. hopefully no more debates will be keeping us from our show!

I agree, I have had enough of debates and I'm tired of all the election commercials for various things. I am looking forward to next week's show too! Shoot I don't even remember the previews now!

I dont watch this but I noticed a lot of my shows doing this this year! A lot of them started earlier for me, and then they showed 2-3 episodes to get you hooked and then said "scenes from the next show... in 2 weeks". I was like WHAT? I'm starting to think this is a new technique networks devised to make us really excited to see the show, by forcing us to wait a little longer for things to be resolved b/c when this happened to my shows it wasn't due to debates or anything important, it was just to take a break. I'd rather watch Grey's Anatomy then debates any day :-D

That could be the situation. They want to hook you in and then make you wait. Could be dangerous though with all the new premiers, you could find a new favorite program when you are forced to watch something else!

I love Grey's Anatomy but we will probably have to just wait it out..I think a lot of these good Tv shows that we all love will be taken over by this election stuff..It also makes me pout to miss the good shows too...Yes we could take a poll but they would win out so guess we just have to bear up....HahaI also feel like growling!

Why not have the debate earlier like at 6PM EST instead of 9PM EST. It will be on at 6 in CA. We will not be getting Greys Anatomy either so do not worry you are not missing anything.

Although I totally understand how annoying it is to have a favorite show pre-empted by something - especially if it is a season premier or finale, at least this time it is for something important and critical. That I can accept, but when they pre-empt for sports games - that is what realy ticks me off! I just don't think sports are nearly important enough to alter anything!

Oh trust, I was hot. I was so PO'ed. I couldn't believe it. I had just finished watching "Ugly Betty" and I was preparing myself for "Grey's Anatomy" and here comes the channel 7 abc news special broadcast about the vice presidential debate. Believe me, as a person who wants to stay informed about what is going on in politics, I tried to watch it earlier in the day. I couldn't handle it (Palin bored me to an almost deep sleep). When I get home from work on Thursdays, I want to relax with my feet up and watch my show. Anyway, I kept checking back and nothing. They were still talking about the debate. Cuss words were flying out of my mouth. At 10 pm, I checked back and nothing. ABC7 could have given viewers a heads up or something. Now we have to wait til next week.

I'll be popping in a Netflix movie either before or after the debate. I still want to watch the debate just to see how Palin holds her own.
