Is this a LOW BLOW? Has politics gotten TOO DIRTY?

Yes, it is true. Humor is often used as a weapon against one's political opponents. Here's but one example. McCain and the 0bama somehow ended up at the same barbershop. As they sat there, each being worked on by a different barber, not a word was spoken. The barbers were even afraid to start a conversation, for fear it would turn to politics. As the barbers finished their shaves, the one who had 0bama in his chair reached for the aftershave. 0bama was quick to stop him saying, “No thanks, my wife will smell that and think I’ve been in a whorehouse,” The second barber turned to McCain and said, “How about you?”. McCain replied, “Go ahead, my wife doesn’t know what the inside of a whorehouse smells like!”. I say this is quite funny, even if it does cross the line of what polite people would repeat. I'm undecided as to whether this crosses the line of what should not be told. What do you say?

I find it amusing and a funny and current twist to a good joke! No more, no less. I have certainly heard far worse and far more offensive jokes than this one! It's not racial or anything borderline like that and if anything it's quite witty. Anyone that would take offense at something like this needs to lighten up a little.

As both a former soldier and a former trucker, I've heard and told) tons of jokes 'worse' than this one, but we shall not post them here. Dog-gone it!

The really 'good' or 'bad' jokes, depending on your perspective, depend on imaginary much more than forbidden words. The context of a truely objectionable joke is much worse than the handful of 'dirty' words.

Hahaha. Maybe you can come up with some code words then RYBD for the more "sensitive" references! A select few of us can be PM'd the code sheet and we can go from there..... Oh we could have quite an interesting exchange if we ended up doing this!

I have not seen or heard that joke using Obama or McClain as the two men. However I have heard it before in a non-political setting and I thought it was funny and I still think it was funny.

Personally, I think it is a cute joke. The only people who might be offended by it are the staunch Obama supporters and they would be offended by anything that is the least little bit against their candidate.

I've recently come back from the land of so many 0bama voters that McCain recently gave up trying in that state. I'm here to tell you that you are right. 0bama's voters do not have much of a sense of humor about their boy. OOPs... I mean MAN, not boy! Sure don't want to use any terminology that harkens back to a more uncivilized period of history. LOL...

That's a great joke. I don't think it goes too far, unless someone tried to present it as an actual occurrence and not just the joke it is.

Sure, and anyone who doesn't like it, can turn it around on the re-telling.

Eh, it's cute, doesn't really offend me. I wouldn't introduce myself to a new coworker with a joke like that, but it's funny and really isn't offensive!

Ah... but you are one of those wonderful people who do not offend easily.
